Amy has been a doula for nearly 8 years and has attended over 200 births. She is a Certified Birth and Postpartum Doula through Birth Arts International and a Certified VBAC Doula. Amy also holds a degree in Counseling Psychology and Child Development. While Amy has experience with many types of birth including epidural and medicated births, high risk pregnancies, supporting after a history of miscarriage or loss, twins, single moms, and premature births, she specializes in unmedicated, water births, and vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC). Amy has ongoing education in massage for doulas, acupressure for birth professionals, aromatherapy and essential oils for birth workers, TENS unit for labor certification, Hypno-Doula certification (Hypnobirthing/ Hynobabies), Spinning Babies training, Rebozo certification, and is a Certified Placenta Encapsulation Specialist with over 250 hours of advanced study!
