About me

Some call me Anna, some call me Ree; either I’m great with. I’ve been doing birthwork for 30+ years now; previously I was mostly called a birth coach, before I certified as a Doula in 2013. I’ve always loved birth. In 2017 I was fortunate enough to take the HypnoBirthing®️ Childbirth Educator course. I continue research, education and searching for, how best to help ALL birthing people in my area. Birthing is a sacred event. It’s not to be rushed or forced to achieve the best outcome and desires of parents. I am accepting parents who want a Birth and /or Postpartum Doula currently for the 2022 Winter quarter. I attend hospital births, birthing centers and homebirths. Ongoing now, I run HypnoBirthing®️ Childbirth Education classes online through Zoom, so ask what class space is still available. I am honored to have served parents and there babies over the last 3 decades.

Service introduction

Learn how to have an Empowered Birth through HypnoBirthing®️ the Mongan Method. There’s 5 classes that meets weekly for 2.5 hours each. All classes are currently being taught online through Zoom. You learn self hypnosis, deep relaxation, unique breathing techniques, affirmations, visualization, basic childbirth education and the science within birthing. You will be able to birth more confident, empowered and fearLESS! I am a Doula also. Contact me for information on my availability.

I’m a firm believer in practicing what you preach. I’m creating equity and equality for the families that have wanted to take my HypnoBirthing®️ Childbirth Education class but couldn’t afford it. I’ve lowered the price to $200.00. This includes your book, parent handbook, digital downloads of our Rainbow Relaxation and Birth Affirmations. Prices may go back up when the economy picks up.

What is a Doula?

This is the question I’m most asked. The word Doula comes from the Greek language meaning, “Woman’s Servant”. This was a woman who tended to a mother during her pregnancy, labor & birth, postpartum times of her life. That much has not changed. I support a mother or birthing person through all of those milestones. I provide physical, emotional and spiritual supports to parents during theses times. I help plan and cook nutritional meals, plan meals for postpartum, childbirth education, assist with your birth plan, labor & birth support which includes tasks like acupressure points, hip presses, spinning babies, getting nourishment or cold wash rags for your forehead, birth hypnosis and guided imagery, reminders of how strong you are and what you’ve accomplished already, encouraging mother focused pushing or J-Breathing, making sure your baby latches in hospital and postpartum care can be breastfeeding support, positioning or latching issues, meal prep, nutritional needs, watching baby while you shower or nap, laundry, tidying up a bit and helping parents stay organized to promote a positive journey.
