About me

Guiding Mothers Lactation is an IBCLC lactation consultant practice offering both home and office visits. Service coverage includes Kenosha, Racine, Milwaukee and Lake County, IL. I am Ashleigh Richmond and I would be honored to have you choose me to assist you on your breastfeeding journey. I believe that all families, no matter how they choose to feed their babies, should be given all the information needed to make informed decisions and to be supported in those choices. It is this knowledge that gives you the power to do what is right for your own family.

What is the best way to prepare to feed your baby human milk? A prenatal breastfeeding class! Guiding Mothers Lactation and Peterson Lactation Services have teamed up to offer you this live and interactive 2 hour virtual class. This is not your cookie cutter hospital breastfeeding class. Our class curriculum comes from years working with families at all stages of lactation and focuses on the tools you will really need to get a good start and face challenges head on. We will cover benefits of breastfeeding, mastering your milk supply, latch & positioning, tangible tools to help, how to make sure baby is getting enough, bottle feeding, dealing with common challenges, when to reach out for help, pumping and much more! Bring your support person and be ready to take some notes because we pack a lot into our time together. Each participant will be sent handouts and videos after class to refer back to after your baby arrives.
