About me

Hi I’m Ashley. I’m a certified childbirth educator, birth, and postpartum doula. We live in a culture where we are encouraged to “take charge” of our lives and bodies, but that doesn’t seem to be the case when it comes to women in labor. I grew up hearing stories from ladies (and still do) who only remembered pain and feeling completely powerless during the birth of their children. How a women remembers her birth can greatly affect the rest of her life. Was it a traumatic experience or a beautiful one? What I’ve learned throughout my years of being a Childbirth Educator, doula, and a mother is labor does not have to be traumatizing. The birth of your children can be a beautiful and empowering moment that you can cherish the rest of your life. I am honored to serve families in Fort Worth and cities West of Fort Worth. Service introduction

My doula services include prenatal visits where we visit and talk about the birth you are wanting, questions, concerns, and comfort measures for during labor. I will be on call for you from 38 weeks and offer continuous support until delivery. During labor I will offer comfort measures such as massage, relaxation, hip squeezes, and emotional support. I will also help you communicate with your care provider, suggest positions that may increase your comfort and facilitate labor. I do not take the place of your partner, rather I help them know how to support you. After your baby arrives, I will help with latching (if planning to breastfeed) and bonding.
