I want to introduce myself. My name is Olivia Gooden, CD(DONA)and I am the owner of Another Mother's Touch Doula Services. I became a mother 33 years ago with my first child. I remember being in that delivery room alone. Even though my mom and baby dad was on the outside in the waiting room. I was alone. I felt alone. Things happened so fast. Some of those things are still a blurry to this day. About 27 years ago, I witnessed my first child being born outside of my own two and it was amazing and since then I've witnessed or supported about 12 others and this was before I got my official doula training. It came so natural to coach, encourage, inspire these mothers through and after seeing those miracles being born over and over that I wanted to do this. Back then, at first, there wasn't a name for what I found myself loving to do. Then eventually I heard them calling it a birth coach but there wasn't anyone close by to train and certify me, which I found out as time went on that I didn't have to be certify just to support another mother. If we go back in history there were midwives and other women and mothers supporting the laboring mother but somewhere along time, we got a way from that but I wanted to be that support. As time went on I began to hear the word, Doula. Doula is a geek word that mean " woman's servant." It is also define as a trained companion who is not a healthcare professional and who supports another person through a significant health-related experience, such as childbirth, miscarriage, induced abortion or stillbirth, or non-reproductive experiences such as dying. (I don't support abortion). Types: There are a few types of doulas: birth doulas, postpartum doulas, and antepartum doulas. A birth doula provides assistance to another woman before and during labor and childbirth; a postpartum doula provides assistance to new parents after their baby is born (though some doulas offer both services). Once again there was no one close around me that had ever heard the word, doula. It began as a desire in my heart over 25 years ago. June 2020, during the pandemic I had the opportunity to go through doula training. Even though I don't have to get certified and dont have to have the training, I wanted the benefits that would come along with having both. Not only would I be a blessing to mothers and fathers but I could benefit from what the industry will be in the future. As a mother, it feels good knowing that you have the support of another mother and/or woman by your side along with any other supporting person while you are bringing a precious gift in the world while you are at your vulnerable state. November 14, 2022 i became a certified Birth Dona (CD) through DONA International. Another Mother's Touch is here to support you.One mother supporting another mother. Trained and Certified. Olivia Gooden CD(DONA) Owner of Another Mother's Touch LLC. Doula Services Trained and Certified *CD means Certified Doula

I have a heartfelt understanding on how hard it is to leave your child with a provider that you do not know.I have many references to ease your mind.Presently I am a nanny for two wonderful families,(nanny family share)caring for twins since 2mos and another child since 4mos (3 infants at one time)I do this with ease and extremely love it.Previously I held 2other nanny positions caring for 1yr olds.Provided date nights, overnight, weekend and travel care.My childcare career started when I created/owned/directed a very successful daycare business for 13 yrs.Loved, guided and taught 6 full time children, newborn to age 6 and school aged children before and after school. Enjoyed working with special needs children. Created&implemented curriculum.Understanding that play promotes curiosity, discovery, and problem-solving which helps develop a positive self-image.Curriculum was based according to children's needs/interests, individually and as a group, with preparation for kindergarten readiness in mind. Prided myself in developing a great rapport with families.

Nikki is amazing! She trained under me for twelve weeks in The Bradley Method and I assisted her during her first natural birth. Since then, Nikki has been extremely passionate in becoming the very best Doula she can be. We started Your Birth Helper Ga and Nikki serves the majority of our Atlanta and surrounding areas. Our focus is low intervention/ natural birth, but we support all families no matter how baby exits the womb. Nikki is also a tremendously effective childbirth educator and knows how to properly train her clients to meet their goals. As a doula, she works tirelessly often without sleep or breaks to help each couple overcome hurdles, etc. she continues to be my lead #1 Atlanta / Gwin area Doula but also serves clients within 75-100 mile radius. As postpartum doula she does her very best to support mom and baby, as well. Hands down Nikki is one of the best! She will invest in your birth like no other! Me and my husband just had our 3rd baby, and decided it would be helpful to have a postpartum doula join us during my postpartum recovery period. Let's face it, we were officially out numbered and breastfeeding a little we had our hands full and could use a little help. Brittany was a beautiful match for our home. She has an amazingly warm energy about her and so knowledgeable in herbalism. She jumped right in to help where we needed her to, from helping with the kids, laundry, and dishes. It was so helpful in time where I am not 100% yet. She also offered a kind ear to hear my birth story and offered some good advice on how to navigate our new family dynamic. So appreciative to have met such a kind soul and highly recommend her during your postpartum journey.

Jenn supported us with the birth of our first child. From the first time we met with her, Jenn exuded confidence and was very knowledgeable, which put us at ease. As first time parents, we didn't know what the process would be like and appreciated all of her tips and best practices that she shared with us. We felt informed and equipped to make the best decisions for our family. She helped us craft a birth plan, shared relevant resources with us and communicated with us often in the weeks leading up to the birth. Jenn is very responsive, punctual and professional while being down to earth and approachable. Not only did she care for me as the birth mother, but she also ensured that my husband was supported throughout the process as well—which was very appreciated by us. Jenn went above and beyond, staying with us for awhile after our daughter was born to make sure that we were well settled in our hospital room. We love that Jenn took photos and videos of precious moments that we will cherish forever. Jenn is thoughtful and caring and shared snacks and personal stories with us for our postpartum visit. We highly recommend Jenn and would hire her again in a heart beat if the opportunity arises!

My name is Taryn Morris. I'm a certified birth and postpartum doula. I am from Tampa, Florida and relocated to Georgia in 2019. I felt lead to change my career path during the pandemic and I have truly found my niche in supporting expecting families. As a kid I was always fascinated by the show on TLC called, 'A Baby Story' . I was surley grossed out but yet in awe of the strength those mothers had! So becoming a birth worker was a full circle moment for me. I'm elated to be in such a sacred and trusting space to advocate, educate, provide emotional and physical support so that expecting mothers can have their baby with confidance. As a mother myself I understand the importance of needing additional support during such a vulnerable time. I enjoy making candles, breast-milk soap bars, spending time with my family, traveling, coffee shop runs, and lastly all things relating to self-care because I owe that to myself to show up and show out for my clients.

Hi, I’m Lindsey! As a trained postpartum doula, I’m here to support your family with the kind of care I know makes all the difference in those early days. Whether that’s staying overnight so you can actually get some sleep, helping you feel comfortable and confident with feeding (whether breast or bottle), or simply being an extra set of loving hands with your newborn, my goal is to take the pressure off so you can enjoy this special season. I show up with encouragement, calm, and practical help so you don’t have to do it all on your own.

Lindsey actually worked with me through my pregnancy and postpartum with both of my babies. She was very knowledgeable and supportive and always made me feel like I was being heard. It was so important to me to have her in my corner, especially as someone who has had antepartum and postpartum depression throughout two pregnancies. Sometimes you think you can handle things on your own, and maybe you can, but money cannot cover the feeling you get when you’ve made it to the other side of your postpartum journey with your precious little one(s) and you’re all able to breathe and revel in the joy of each other.

Hello, My name is Tiffany, Self Love Doula and Parent Coach. I am available to provide emotional, physical, spiritual and informational support to birthing people throughout your birth journey. Although we often think of fertility and birthing only in biological terms, our fertility is also a measure of our willingness to plant and tend seeds of growth within and outside of ourselves. I want to help empower anyone who identifies as a birthing person or with the divine feminine principles of creativity and fertility.—pregnant or not, woman or not, mother or not. I use my experiences and story as a doula, health administrator, and mother to share tools and best practices in the areas of creativity, spirituality, and intimacy that have helped me in my journey.

I am a dedicated and compassionate labor doula, committed to empowering women and families throughout their pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum journey. With a background in mental health and a passion for supporting expectant mothers, I bring a wealth of knowledge, experience, and empathy to my role as a doula. My calming demeanor and reassuring presence help to alleviate anxiety and promote a sense of calm during what can be an intense and transformative experience. I have called North Georgia home for the last 18 years. I’ve been married to my husband Adam for 5 years. We have two boys under the age of four. In my spare time I enjoy volunteering on my church’s hospitality team, gardening, and spending time outside with my family. I became interested in becoming a doula after experiencing the benefits of hiring a doula for my second birth. I find great joy in walking with women in their motherhood journey.

I genuinely cannot begin to say how thankful I am for Alexis and how she walked with us through our journey to parenthood. We had two prenatal meetings where she met with my husband and I to talk through our birth wishes and just get to know us as people. She focused on getting to know the "why" behind our birth wishes and not just the "what." Her background in counseling was such a perfect fit with her doula services as she helped us walk through the crazy emotions that surround birth and becoming a parent. We talked through how I would feel emotionally if my birth didn't go "according to plan;" we talked about how our marriage was doing in the midst of the pregnancy. Her birth class was super helpful in it made us informed and prepared about what would and could happen during birth. She did check ins after every OB appointment to see how things were going and see how I was feeling every step of the way. When my water broke, she checked in every few hours to keep up with my early labor and give us tips for the early contractions and then met us at the hospital when I was in active labor. I had all back labor, and she and my husband took turns giving me counter pressure on my back for hours. She helped guide me on when to switch positions and try new tactics. She was even there to help with little things like moving our car because it was still parked out front. After our son was born, Alexis stayed with us a few more hours until we were fully settled in our recovery room. She did a follow up meeting with us about a week after delivery and just sat with us and helped me process my birth experience which thankfully was everything that I wanted, but it's still a lot to process. Alexis set up a meal train for us and even brought a meal herself. She texted and checked in with how I was healing, how I was doing emotionally, and just how I was adjusting to motherhood every few days after birth and then weekly for the first two months postpartum. My husband and I genuinely felt like we weren't in this alone, that we had a guide walking through it with us. It was so nice that my husband could support me emotionally and didn't have to worry about having all of the knowledge to specifically support me during labor - he could focus on being my husband and not my coach. We just felt so supported and encouraged the entire journey. She constantly went above and beyond what a typical doula would do. I cannot rave about Alexis enough, and our plan is to have her present for all future childbirths.
