Hospital birth. Need prenatal check ups and midwife for delivery

Right now, I plan to give birth in the hospital, although I would absolutely love a homebirth if it is possible. I would need to be covered under TRICARE. I’ll be having a vaginal birth after a cesarean if all goes according to my wishes.

This is my first pregnancy and both my partner and I will be first time parents. I’m looking for help understanding my body as baby and I continue to grow. Our first birth plan is to be very intimate and peaceful but my partner can also use some understanding and learning points for how to support, and where, at the time of birth. Once baby arrives, my partner won’t have the opportunity to be home with us long, and I’m planning to be home for 2 months postpartum. We would absolutely love the night support and the continuous learning. We have family support but we really want the first week to be only us and baby, as well as have strong boundaries with family about baby with hygiene and safety so this is where the help would come in. I feel like there is more to discuss to better understand match, but I am still very new!

I am not pregnant yet but we hope to start trying soon. One thing that means a lot to me is being able to have a home birth (if the pregnancy and baby are healthy). Preferably a home water birth, this is my first pregnancy so I don’t have a fully formed birth plan. And our budget is undefined. I am 23 years old and generally prefer limited medical intervention and medication. But do understand that its sometimes necessary.
