Hi, I’m Ari 🤍 I’m a birth and postpartum doula rooted in community care, informed choice, and gentle support. I believe every family deserves to feel seen, heard, and empowered throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, no matter their background or circumstances. My approach is calm, grounding, and judgment-free. I also offer flexible pricing, payment plans, and “pay what you can” options because access to support matters. I’m honored to walk alongside you as you prepare for one of life’s most transformative experiences 🤍

Working with Ariana felt like having a steady, supportive friend who also really knew her stuff. From the very beginning, she created a space where I felt safe asking questions, expressing concerns, and making decisions that felt right for me. She never pushed an agenda or made me feel pressured instead, she listened deeply, shared thoughtful and evidence-based information, and supported my choices every step of the way. Her presence during labor was incredibly grounding. Whenever I felt anxious, overwhelmed, or unsure, Ariana had a way of calming the room and helping me refocus. She offered reassurance, comfort, and gentle guidance exactly when I needed it. I always felt respected, informed, and empowered with her by my side. I am beyond grateful to have had Ariana as part of my birth team. Her care, compassion, and calm energy made such a meaningful difference in my experience, and I would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for truly supportive, judgment-free doula care.

I have always been fascinated and humbled by the birthing process since working at a Maternity Hospital in Nepal many years ago, when I was a medical student in the UK. It revealed to me how essential compassionate support is during this rite of passage. My passion for women's health and childbirth has never waned, and I come with a deep knowledge of the process from working as a family doctor in the UK, then birthing and bringing up my own three children here in the US. I am privileged to work as a birth doula, an advocate in this space, supporting with empathy and calm, helping women to trust their bodies and to achieve a positive birth experience. I help women to know their own body and its amazing capabilities, to trust it, and, in doing so, to own their birth.

Having known and worked with Harriet for 30 years I have seen firsthand how calm, patient, and dedicated she is. That, combined with a wealth of experience and knowledge, shape her into an invaluable support to have by your side. She’s always completely committed to the people she supports and cares for and I would have no hesitation in having her as my doula. I wish I had.

We had such a wonderful experience working with Betzy as our newborn care specialist! She helped us transition our 3-month-old reflux baby into her own room, sleeping safely on her back in her mini crib with just one to two wake-ups a night—something we weren’t sure was even possible! Betzy was incredibly reliable and brought such a calm, reassuring presence into our home. She was so sweet and gentle with our daughter, and her tips for bath time and tummy time made those routines smoother and more enjoyable for all of us. We’re so grateful for her support and highly recommend her to any new parents looking for expert, compassionate care.

With over twenty five years' experience as an NCS(newborn care specialist), CPPD(certified postpartum doula), & Certified Lactation Educator Counselor, I aspire to be a calming, nonjudgmental  and supportive presence for parents during the first few weeks/months with their newborn(s). I do this with kind and straightforward coaching and assistance in lactation, newborn care, sleep facilitation and other areas of a new baby's development.  Looking forward to helping you navigate the start of your exciting journey into parenthood.

We highly recommend Melanie, whose expertise in newborn care, CPR training, and lactation support was invaluable to us as first-time parents. Melanie was our trusted source of advice, education, and guidance for both our son’s care and my postpartum recovery. Melanie’s meticulousness, thoughtfulness, and nurturing approach was transformative. Under her guidance, I navigated breastfeeding successfully and our son developed positive sleep habits by 8 weeks, allowing him to sleep through the night. Melanie’s calm and reassuring presence replaced any anxiety we had with confidence and peace of mind from the moment we arrived home. Her support allowed us time to focus on healing, bonding, and building confidence as new parents—gifts we are deeply grateful for. Melanie’s impact on our family’s well-being was immeasurable, giving us the best start possible.

I provide nurturing, informed care, assistance, and resources to you, your baby and family as you navigate the postpartum period. As your postpartum doula, my goal is to provide physical and emotional support through what is undoubtedly one of the most profoundly transformational and magical periods of your life. I want you to feel nourished, confident, and empowered to tune in to your own intuition and trust your instincts.

Recent review

Lisa was not only an important part of my husband and my journey into parenthood but she was critical in my post-partum experience, learning to balance caring for my own recovery with caring for my daughter. The post-partum experience is a wild one, where everything from your mind, body and soul changes and you are redefining yourself and how you relate to those around you - all while learning a completely new skill of caring for a newborn. From the beginning, Lisa was reassuring, letting me know that everything is "a phase", giving me permission to have challenging moments and let those be simply moments. She shared evidenced based information and tools we can employ as we moved through learning to feed our baby, breastfeed, figure out her sleep schedules, playing with her, and so much more. I am a hands-on learner and I needed space to discuss, plan and strategize (essentially talk Lisa's ear off!) what I was going to do next before doing it myself. She supported me every step of the way and adjusted the way she supported me and my family in the way that we needed it. With an extraordinarily kind and empathetic sensibility, she listened and met me and my husband where we were. And our daughter loved being cared by her like when my husband and I desperately needed a nap in the earlier days or when I needed a shower and time to myself. My mother, who does not speak English very well, was staying with us a few weeks and Lisa was culturally sensitive and helped my family feel comfortable to navigate this phase unapologetically and without having to explain our Korean rituals (e.g., eating seaweed soups as much as possible!) and beliefs. She was respectful, supportive and empowered us to lean into our instincts as new parents with our own beautiful identities and cultural backgrounds. Thank you, Lisa, for the confidence you helped nurture in our family as we became first time parents. The next family is very happy to have you guide them!

I’m a experienced newborncare specialist/ certified postpartum doula / lactation educator/ parent educator/ sleep specialist I have over 25 years of experience caring for newborns , twins and babies with special needs I’m cpr certified and trustline verified and vaccinated with excellent reference and reviews. I am dedicated to providing the highest quality care to mothers and their infants. I understand that every postpartum experience is unique and work closely to develop a personalized care plan that meets you and your baby's individual needs. My premier service includes overnight care for baby, positive attachment care, depending on the age and family need - sleep conditioning , feeding scheduling also lactation support for mom.

Recent review

Judith was the night nurse for our twins from 0-3 months, and from the day we came home from the hospital she taught us not only how to get the twins to sleep at night (and not wake up), but also how to care for them during the day. She set us up with eating and sleeping schedules that would best benefit their nighttime sleep patterns, and advised us on which swaddles, white noise machines, formulas, and bottles to buy. Her expertise helped us in so many ways. She was quick to notice a couple of dietary issues the twins had, which saved us days if not weeks of nonstop crying babies. She was calm and confident and professional, and by the end of her 12-week period with us the twins were regularly sleeping through the night. Judith made the first weeks of our twins’ lives exponentially more manageable and we highly recommend her.

Dear Prospective Parents, I would like to first offer my congratulations to you on the birth of your new child. As a mother of 4 myself I know first hand all of the emotions that you are feeling right now. I vividly remember the sweet baby breath and the soft sounds they make as they fall asleep. I remember the pride you are feeling as you are looking down at something that was created out of the love you and your partner share. I also remember how daunting a newborn can be. I remember that all of the books, classes and advice in the world can’t accurately prepare you for the real life thing. I remember the good emotions, the bad ones, the sad ones. I remember the sleepless nights and the confusion over deciphering whether or not that is a cry for hunger or gas. My job as a night nanny practically speaking is to offer you a peaceful night's rest. But I am also here to be your advocate, support person, cheerleader, coach and anything else that will make your experience as new parents a great one. Having the support of a newborn care specialist and postpartum support care means having someone there for you that will believe in you, even when you are not sure if you believe in yourself. My goal is to empower you as the new parents.

I am a birth and postpartum doula who serves the greater Los Angeles area. I have been a doula sine 2011 and am also a lactation educator and mother of three.

I cannot speak highly enough of Eldrid's invaluable support during my postpartum recovery. After my C-section, she became an indispensable part of our household, seamlessly managing tasks that allowed me to focus on healing and bonding with my newborn. Eldrid not only cooked delicious and nutritious meals that nourished our family (by the way, she makes the BEST lactation chocolate chip cookies and tapioca pudding), but she also ensured our home was consistently tidy and organized. Her attention to detail in laundry and housekeeping meant I could rest without worry. The soothing massages she provided for my feet, shoulders, neck, and hands were incredibly therapeutic and helped relieve the tension that comes with new motherhood. Beyond the physical care, Eldrid went above and beyond by taking expert care of our baby, allowing me precious moments to nap, shower, or simply take a solo walk for much-needed self-care. Eldrid's understanding and compassionate demeanor made me feel supported and understood during those overwhelming first weeks as a new mom. I remember when I had my first experience with breast engorgement. I was terrified and texted Eldrid, and she immediately knew the fix and brought over some cabbage leaves to help manage the pain. Eldrid's dedication to both my baby's well-being and my own was evident in every interaction. She listened attentively to my concerns and offered invaluable guidance and reassurance. Her nurturing presence not only eased the transition into motherhood but also fostered a sense of confidence and empowerment in my new role. I am profoundly grateful to Eldrid for her unwavering support and expertise during a pivotal time in our lives. Her professionalism, kindness, and genuine care have left an indelible mark on our family's journey. I wholeheartedly recommend Eldrid to any parent seeking compassionate and knowledgeable postpartum care. My family misses her greatly!
