Dynamic movement is foundational to breastfeeding. During our visit, I will be helping you learn how to help your baby to move, which can often leach into helping mom learn how to move as well. While many of my clients are concerned with how baby’s mouth is working, I see oral function as the tip of the iceberg. We need to work from the ground level up to get lasting results. We look into what kind of support mothers need to thrive during postpartum. A mother’s health and vibrancy is reflected back by her baby. So to help a newborn that is struggling, we need to support that newborn’s mother. We talk about nutrients mothers need to support themselves and a robust milk supply and how nurture the essential nutrient of rest during a physically and emotionally demanding season. From the start of my career as a Physician Assistant, I was drawn to pediatrics and the mother-baby dyad. My PA journey kicked off on the pediatric ward at Jamaica Hospital in Queens, NY, where I was completely captivated by caring for children and families. Then, life brought me to Central NJ, where I had the opportunity to work in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, caring for some of the tiniest, most vulnerable patients. I became a board-certified lactation consultant and was thrilled to offer lactation consultations and make a real difference for new parents and babies. Bringing together my neonatal and pediatric medical experience with lactation and breastfeeding medicine has been incredibly rewarding! I’m proud to be board-certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners. But I didn’t stop there—I went on to get a Master's in Healthcare Administration from the University of Maryland, and I’ve continued to push myself to learn and grow in every way possible. I’ve trained in advanced bodywork techniques, including craniosacral therapy (CST) through the Upledger Institute and the Barnes Myofascial Release method. I’ve also attended the Oral Habilitation of the Breastfeeding Dyad course three times! Continuing education is a constant for me because I believe there’s always more to learn when it comes to helping families. I have 2 locations, in Edison and Brick, NJ and have focused on creating a collaborative practice which includes other specialists as well. Whether it’s kayaking, biking, or tending to our organic and medicinal garden, my family and I like finding new ways to stay active and connected with nature.

My calling for birth work started with a traumatic first birth, but has opened my eyes to the beauty that is child birth. I began educating myself which resulted in discovering what a doula was. I felt in my heart if I was able to rewrite my birth narrative, then I can be that person for others. I began attending births as a doula in November 2021. Along this journey, I became pregnant with my third child and was able to experience the difference the midwifery model of care can make. As I carried my child in my womb, attending mostly hospital births as a doula, I saw so many women not being heard or respected. I felt this urgency to become a midwife myself, because all women deserve to be supported. Birth is a natural event that sometimes needs medical attention and not the other way around. I was so inspired to make this my life’s work that I enrolled at the National College of Midwifery September 2022. I have not only been a victim myself but witnessed how our culture has stripped women of their birthing power. I have had three very different personal experiences with three very different births myself. One very medicalized birth turned into cesarean, one unmedicated vbac in a hospital and my last birth was at a birth center ! My hope and passion is to help other women feel the power that comes when their autonomy is left intact! I believe that birth is sacred. I believe in you and your ability to birth. I hold space for the spiritual, the physical, the emotional. I am here to help you with your fears, your hopes, and your dreams. In January 2023 I decided to attend a reiki 1 and 2 training. I have been incorporating this spiritual modality when requested. The pairing on energy work within the birth space has had a magical impact on my clients and my own personal enlightenment. I believe that every woman deserves to birth in a way that is safe for her and her baby, in a way that assures she feels honored and supported.
