Hi! I intend to have a home birth with the support of a midwife and doula, in Parker, CO. I would like to meet at least twice before birthing, and want to work with someone who is close by and is DONA certified. Thank you!
1. I am wanting to labor at home as long as possible and the my OBGYN office delivers at Lutheran Hospital (12911 W. 40th ave.) 2. I don’t really have a budget. Flexible for the right fit. 3. I am wanting to labor at home as long as possible as hospitals make me anxious. Other than that I am still reading up on other things to include in my birth plan as this is my first baby.
I plan on giving birth in a hospital. I am diabetic so I don’t have much options as to where I give birth. I want to go unmedicated and am a huge believer in going natural with minimum medical intervention unless absolutely necessary. I don’t have a currently estimate this is my first birth so I don’t know what numbers I’m looking at but am open to whatever as long as I’m getting the knowledge and care I can get. My birth plan is ofc very peaceful music (religious preferably but also non religious music) in the background with minimum lighting or some galaxy lighting to help distract my brain, minimum medical intervention and just lots of support🥺
I am giving birth at UC Memorial North in Colorado Springs. I am looking for someone who will advocate for me in my goals to not be induced (unless medically necessary) and to give birth unmedicated. No birth photography please—it makes me uncomfortable. This is my first child so I would love to take some classes in pain management with my husband, if possible. We are due May 28, 2026. My estimated budget is $1,000, give or take. Thanks! Looking forward to working with you!
hospital birth Need help coming up with birth plan medicated birth
Plan to give birth at hospital - with or without epidural 1800$
We plan on giving birth at the Common Spirit hospital in Longmont. Budget is $1000-$2000 depending on the services provided. Birth plan: no Pitocin, no students, no epidural, free to move, delayed cord clamping. We mainly want someone who can be an advocate for us during birth. If there is a birthing class available we would be interested. This is our 1st child and I may need breast feeding help as I have no idea what I’m doing. Also wanted to find out the cost of a postpartum dula for some help around the house for the 1st 2-4 weeks. Just some meal prep and kitchen clean up. We have a robot vacuum/mop so was just thinking some help in the kitchen might be nice.
Looking for a postpartum doula. Ideally anyone who might be in network with Cigna
Plan to find a good local birthing center, may consider home birth Insurance provider is CHP+ Need a good holistic birth class near Kersey CO Looking for the most minimally invasive birth possible without risking the life of mom and baby.
This will be my 2nd birth. My 1st one was a high risk twin pregnancy that had me impatient at the Fetal Care at Children’s Hospital in Aurora. I found out at 20 weeks we were expecting twins and my plans for a natural birth went out the window. I delivered the twins at 29 w and 6 days via c-section. This go round I’m seeking a VBAC option to redeem my original plans. I live in rural eastern Colorado and so I’m in the process of looking for a hospital close enough to us that has the capabilities to fulfill my wishes. I’m looking into the Greeley/ Ft. Collins area. Because of the amazing intimate care I had at the Fetal Care I desire to have a doula to provide the same feels and experience I had there. My budget is $1,000-$1,800.
I plan to give birth at the hospital. This is my first pregnancy. I'm off of all previous psychiatric medications. I plan to use Medicaid to pay for services.
First time mom and I dont know anything. I would like options and to get a layout of everything.
Synia’s Unmediated Birth Plan My Birth Philosophy 💕 I believe birth is a natural, powerful process. I trust my body and my baby to work together. I want to avoid unnecessary interventions and create a peaceful, supportive environment for my baby’s arrival. ⸻ 💫 Labor Preferences No Epidural I plan to labor and give birth without medical pain relief so I can stay aware and connected to my body’s natural rhythm. No Pitocin / Avoid Induction I prefer my labor to begin and progress naturally, without medications to start or speed it up, unless there is a medical emergency. Move Freely I want to be able to walk, squat, or change positions during labor to stay comfortable and help labor progress naturally. Water for Comfort I’d like access to a warm shower or birthing tub, as warm water helps ease pain and relax muscles. Minimal Cervical Checks I prefer to limit vaginal exams during labor unless medically necessary, to reduce discomfort and risk of infection. Dim Lights & My Labor Playlist I would like a calm, soothing atmosphere with low lights and my music playing to help me stay relaxed. Massage / Counterpressure My partner may use massage or gentle pressure on my lower back and hips to relieve tension and pain. Birth Ball I’d like to use a birth ball to encourage proper baby positioning and comfort during contractions. ⸻ 📸 Memories & Recording Record and Photograph the Birth I would like my birth to be recorded and photographed as much as possible to capture these special moments. My care team has permission to use our phones and/or a video camera (if available) to take photos and videos of the labor, delivery, and first moments with our baby. This includes candid pictures during labor, the birth itself, and moments immediately after. ⸻ 🩺 Monitoring & Interventions Intermittent Monitoring I prefer my baby’s heartbeat to be checked periodically instead of being continuously monitored, so I can move freely. Minimal Vaginal Exams Similar to cervical checks — I’d like them limited to reduce discomfort and unnecessary interruption. No Artificial Rupture of Membranes I prefer my water (amniotic sac) to break naturally rather than being manually ruptured by staff, unless medically needed. ⸻ 🤱 Delivery Preferences No Episiotomy I prefer natural stretching and tearing over a surgical cut unless absolutely required for baby’s safety. Position Changes While Pushing I’d like to change positions (squatting, side-lying, hands-and-knees, etc.) to find what feels most effective and comfortable. Want Dad to Help Deliver Baby If possible, I’d like my partner to assist with the delivery and be an active part of catching or welcoming our baby. ⸻ 👶 After Birth Delayed Cord Clamping Please wait until the umbilical cord stops pulsing and turns white before cutting it, allowing the baby to receive extra oxygen-rich blood. Dad Cuts the Cord I want my partner to cut the cord once it’s completely white, symbolizing our baby’s smooth transition. Immediate Skin-to-Skin Place my baby directly on my chest after birth to encourage bonding, warmth, and stable breathing. Early Breastfeeding I plan to start breastfeeding as soon as possible after birth to promote bonding and milk flow. Delay Newborn Procedures I prefer to delay standard newborn procedures (like weighing) until after bonding time — or have Dad accompany baby if they must be done sooner. ⸻ 🏥 If a Cesarean Becomes Necessary Avoiding C-Section I do not want a cesarean unless it’s truly life-saving for me or my baby. Partner Present If a cesarean is required, I want my partner to remain by my side throughout. Skin-to-Skin in OR If possible, I’d like skin-to-skin contact immediately after delivery, even in the operating room. ⸻ 💕 Thank You Thank you to my care team for supporting my birth preferences and helping me bring my baby into the world safely, calmly, and naturally.
Hospital natural water birth, absolutely as hands off and natural and holistic as possible, wanting a string advocate against a medicalized birth at the hospital
I want more education before deciding where to give birth. Budget tbd I don’t have a birth plan yet
This is our first baby, with the exception of a previous miscarriage. I don’t know exactly what my birth plan is or what should go into a birth plan. I just know I want it to be slow and calm as much as possible. I’m looking for someone who will take the time to help educate me more about pregnancy and birth and help find confidence in the process. I’d like someone who can act as more of a mother figure guiding me. I want to focus on health and nutrition throughout my pregnancy. I need someone who will let my husband be 100% involved and is more about enabling us with knowledge and confidence to make our own decisions. So, someone who is calm and has a lot of patience.
