Give birth either in facility or hospital. Everything covered by Ohip.
Hi. I am looking for a Doula or Midwife to be present in the delivery room and support with birth and my birth plan. I plan to give birth at The Ottawa Hospital. My birth plan includes delayed cord clamping, immediate skin to skin, different birthing positions, delayed pain medication.
I want to give birth either at home or in a birthing center
1. Samaritan Hospital 2. I’m unsure what it would cost but I’d say between $3,000-$5,000. 3. VBAC, Natural labor progression, pain meds & epidural. No foley ballon, or Pitocin, C section only if medically necessary.
Hi there! I have a dear friend who is due end of May with her second baby, I am her doula and attended her first birth at the hospital. She had a midwife and wanted a homebirth for her first but wasn’t able to due to complications. She was going to just commit to hospital birth for this baby but has recently had a change of heart so I am reaching out to see if you are still practicing and perhaps available. I know using insurance would be a huge support for her and her husband who are small business owners in the food industry. I wanted to reach out first to see if you’re accepting clients before I share your info and get her hopes up because she’s had some trouble finding care. Thank you so much and I look forward to hearing back.
I'm leaning toward homebirth but want to explore my options. I'm not sure of the budget, but I'm not worried about that. I would like to have a natural birth.
I would prefer to give birth at home and want a calm, low-intervention experience that protects my nervous system, autonomy, and bonding. I prefer dim lights, a quiet space, and minimal interruptions. I only want my midwife, doula, and husband present, with no unnecessary observers. I want full freedom to move, walk, change positions, and use any position that feels natural. I want to be able to eat and drink freely. I plan for an unmedicated birth and will use movement, breathing, water, and position changes for comfort. Please do not offer pain medication unless I ask. I prefer intermittent monitoring and the least invasive methods possible. I do not want induction, augmentation, episiotomy, vacuum, or forceps, and I only want interventions if my life or my baby’s life is in immediate danger. I want to push spontaneously in whatever position feels best. If it is safe, my husband will catch the baby and cut the cord, and I want delayed cord clamping until the cord is white and no longer pulsing. After birth, I want immediate, uninterrupted skin-to-skin, and for the baby to stay with us at all times, with no bath or washing. Budget of $3,000 - $8,000 (with insurance covering as much as possible

I am eager to consider a water birth at home. Regardless of the associated costs, I am particularly drawn to the comfort it would provide, given that this is my first pregnancy. Having a highly experienced professional who specializes in water births would greatly enhance my sense of security and well-being throughout the entire process. I am open to exploring any innovative approaches that may contribute to a positive and fulfilling experience.
i would like to do an unmedicated home birth. I will be living in Fulton. not opposed to water birth. I would just like it to be less than a hospital bill.
