I plan to give birth in the hospital in case there are any medical emergencies with me being high risk (I’m 37). My insurance should pay for this. I don’t currently have a birth plan, as I’m only 10 weeks and am doing this alone.

This will be my first delivery, my desire is to do it unmedicated in the hospital. Will like to discuss budget and pricing in person. I will like for my provider to at the least have a masters or higher in education and over 3 years in labor and delivery. Doula is my number one top choice at the moment, I have an OBGYN already.

I am self educating by taking courses on physiologic birth and hypno-birthing. Birth does not scare me, postpartum does, a little.

I will be giving birth at Baylor All saints in Fort Worth. Not sure about a budget yet I just want the best support. My first couple pregnancies were rough. I’m in a season of trying to enjoy it all and make sure this time around I have endless support through my process. I need help with a birth plan. I know I want to try unmedicated, I want to set the mood in my delivery room with blue lights, aroma therapy and white noise or nature sounds. I plan to deliver using the squat bar method and I do want to use a mirror to see it all. I just want to be present, safe, healthy and feel in control.

No AROM: I would like to allow my water to break naturally if possible. Please no artificial rupture of membranes unless medically necessary. No Pitocin: Please no Pitocin unless medically necessary. Ok with small amount post-birth. Minimal Vaginal Exams: Vaginal exams only upon my express consent. Please limit exams to the absolute minimum. No Students/Interns: I do not wish for students or interns to observe or participate in my care at this time. No Male Staff: No male staff present in room at all times.
