My path to become a doula began with my first powerful and transformative experience giving birth. I left the hospital in awe of my innate strength and what my body could do. Hi, I’m Caryn Allen, certified childbirth educator, birth doula, and postpartum doula. I was born and raised in the Saint Louis, Missouri area but have called Utah my home since 2013. My husband and I met when he came to Missouri to do summer sales, and what started out as a summer romance turned into 14 years of marriage, 5 moves in 3 states, 4 children, 1 dog, and loads of fun. I enjoy board and card games, sewing, crocheting, movie watching, Dungeons and Dragons, and a good camping trip. I have dreams of one day living on a small farm with a variety of animals, doing birth work for animals and humans alike. I believe that birth is one of the most empowering and transformative experiences a woman can ever go through. How she chooses to give birth will affect her mind, body, and spirit for the rest of her life. I passionately believe that knowledge is power, and with that power comes the potential for truly wonderful birthing experiences. Hello, I'm Seneca Summit! I live in Tooele Utah. I own Mama Loves Mama and serve Salt Lake County and select areas in Tooele and Utah counties. I am a mom first and a postpartum doula second. I discovered my passion for helping other moms and families during the postpartum season after having my own baby. I had been thinking about pursuing birthwork for some time, but after dealing with postpartum mood disorders and a difficult transition, I felt called to focus on supporting other postnatally. I have gone through pain of grief in my life that truly has taken me deeper into a true relationship with God and myself. I feel pain when words can not be expressed, I feel love and joy when the words are so exciting nothing can come out. I feel the anxious feeling of the unknown when written in silence. I can’t explain the truth behind it but I know it’s all because God is always working and is calling us to be there for one another. We are not ever meant to do this world alone. Hi, I'm Dez Weyburn. I have a decade of doula experience and have been able to support so many kinds of births. I love working with families who want to take charge of their own birth experience, however that looks to them. In the past year, I've sort of accidentally found a niche at supporting high risk births, so I'm well versed in how most of the local hospitals deal with labor complications. Beyond that, I'm well informed about supporting physiological births. As a doula and massage therapist, I often incorporate touch in prenatal meetings, the labor and birth, and our postpartum check-in.

My journey to becoming a postpartum doula began in 2022, when I became a mother myself. During my pregnancy, I dove deep into everything I could learn about birth and parenting, and I quickly fell in love with the beauty and power of the whole process. But when my daughter was born, I realized there was a gap in the education and support available for new mothers, especially when it comes to the postpartum experience. I found that many mothers, myself included, were left to navigate this crucial time without the guidance and support they truly needed. It was in this moment of realization that I knew I wanted to support other women in their postpartum journeys, helping them feel informed, nurtured, and cared for as they adjusted to life with a new baby. In late 2024, I found a postpartum doula training led by an incredible midwife, and I knew this was the path I was meant to take. As a follower of Jesus, my faith is central to everything I do, and I strive to serve others with love and compassion. When I’m not supporting families, you can find me baking, spending time with my own family, and dreaming of a homesteading life. My name is Calli Fresh (coolest last name ever right??). I have two dogs and a wonderful husband, hopefully a few kids soon! I enjoy the outdoors and cooking. I started my way in healthcare as a CNA working with the geriatric population for 7 years before moving on to doing more of the management side of healthcare. While I had a passion for my job and the elderly population, it just didn’t feel like my true calling. I one day found my true calling: Doula work! I was ready to delve into the world of childbirth and babies! I felt like I was being called to work with women, be a support for them and help them through the most challenging and beautiful time in a womans life. I want to help women have the best birth experiences they could, but I also want to extend that care past childbirth and into the postpartum period as well. I want to help women recover and heal from such an incredible experience and help them shift from one chapter of life to the next as seamlessly as I could.
