We’re looking for a doula to support, advise, and help my wife, Ajai, before birth, during labor, and shortly after delivery. We have a toddler and we don’t want him in the hospital during delivery so I (Jonathan, the husband/father) will need to stay back home with our son during labor. Our estimated budget for the doula services are $1,000 -$2,000 total. We’re also looking for assistance night nurse or assistance for the first 3 or 4 weeks after delivery to help my wife recover and get enough sleep. My wife, Ajai, and I would prefer to have a vaginal birth, but ultimately want what is safest for her and new baby. It might be worth noting that Ajai had an emergency C-section during our son’s birth four years ago.
