I have a passion for helping queer families of color have beautiful birth experiences and receive the support they need whether that is grief support or adoption support. I fell in love with birth work during my years at Montclair State University where I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Family Sciences and Human Development. While there, I took a class called “Medical Humanities” where I learned the different health disparities different ethnicities have faced in our health care system. What stood out to me was how Black birthing persons have such high birthing mortality rates. And upon further research, I stumbled upon the beauty and importance of birth work. I have always had a passion for helping queer families of color, and this shines through my work. I have over 5 years of childcare experience before becoming a doula. When I'm not working, I spend my free time expanding my hobbies: video games, reading, attending comic and anime conventions, community service, watching cartoons, and creating handmade jewelry.
