About Soleil

Hello everyone! My name is Soleil Townes, I am the owner of Evangeline Birthing Services, which provides full-spectrum doula services to those in select counties in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. I have a passion for helping queer families of color have beautiful birth experiences and receive the support they need whether that is grief support or adoption support. I fell in love with birth work during my years at Montclair State University where I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Family Sciences and Human Development. While there, I took a class called “Medical Humanities” where I learned the different health disparities different ethnicities have faced in our health care system. What stood out to me was how Black birthing persons have such high birthing mortality rates. And upon further research, I stumbled upon the beauty and importance of birth work. I have always had a passion for helping queer families of color, and this shines through my work. I have over 5 years of childcare experience before becoming a doula. When I'm not working, I spend my free time expanding my hobbies: video games, reading, attending comic and anime conventions, community service, watching cartoons, and creating handmade jewelry.

Birth & Postpartum Doula packages and pricing

Birth Package

I do not turn down a client based off income/price. I work on a sliding scale/payment plan. This covers prenatal meetings where we will discuss birth plans, light childbirth education, newborn care, comfort measures etc. I will be with you for the birth until you are settled after. I will come check on you 2 days after (unless requested otherwise).

$1,750 USD · Flat rate

Serenity Daytime Postpartum Package

I do not turn down a client based off income/price. I work on a sliding scale/payment plan. This package is postpartum and can start at any time, from when you come home from the hospital, 1w after a home birth, whatever is needed! However long you should need me I will be there for how many hours, or what times throughout the day.

$45 USD · Per hour

Serenity Overnight Postpartum Package

I do not turn down a client based off income/price. I work on a sliding scale/payment plan. This package is postpartum and can start at any time, from when you come home from the hospital, 1w after a home birth, whatever is needed! However long you should need me I will be there for how many hours, or what times throughout the day.

$60 USD · Per hour
