I’m probably giving birth at Mayo, it’s been a semi-complicated pregnancy. 4th birth, last 2 were at home. Not sure on budget. Birth plan is to not be drugged and abused by the hospital, ad natural as possible in the circumstances.

I plan to birth at home for as long as I can then go to hospital. My first son I was induced at 39 weeks and that day was so long, stressful, miserable. My second came so fast, almost gave birth on the way. Just at 37 weeks. I want my experience to be more spiritual maybe is the right word? I’ve read and seen many wonderful sensual beautiful experiences, peaceful, and I absolutely dream of something like that. And someone that can help my partner actually get involved during the process instead of sleeping LOL. I have UCARE Medicare so I’m not sure if it can be covered or how that works

I live in Roberts Wisconsin, but will be delivering at HCMC hospital in Minneapolis where I work. I currently have one son who is 2.5 years old and I’m expecting my second in mid February. I had a good first birth experience, but lacked the support I felt I needed to push me through an unmedicated birth. After 12 1/2 hours of laboring, I had only dilated 1 cm (3.5-4.5) while having tetanix contractions, so every minute on the minute lasting 30 to 40 seconds. And baby has been measuring small throughout pregnancy so we had continuous fetal monitoring going, which showed that baby started not being able to tolerate contractions. This time around I am really hoping to get the unmedicated birth experience I so desire to have. I am hoping to spend 500-1000 on doula support
