Hi I'm Ebony, registered nurse, holistic doula, lactation education specialist, maternal mental health peer support specialist, and future nutrition health coach. AKA... all the the things to help your toward a journey of health and wellness. But most importantly I am a lover of life and I help you heal your body, conceive naturally and birth with dignity.
I work alongside moms and birthing persons who want a different outcome. I take a holistic and mindful approach to fertility, birth and wellness. You know your body better than anyone, and you know what’s best. So, I partner with you to explore all the options (even ones you don't think you want) to craft a more positive birth experience.

Frequently asked questions
SO WHAT IS A DOULA, ANYWAY?
A doula is a trained professional that provides emotional, physical and mental support to the birthing person and their partner. Doulas are a great source of information, tools, and resources to support you on your journey. At your birth, doulas provide “continuous” labor support to the birthing person. We are with you until the end.
WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A DOULA AND A MIDWIFE? HOW DO I KNOW WHICH ONE I NEED?
A doula does not provide medical services, diagnosis, assessments, or prescribe treatment. Midwives are certified professionals with advanced maternal training. However, a doula is the perfect addition to your birth tribe. I make sure you are seen, safe, supported and heard during your birth.
I THINK I CAN HANDLE THIS ON MY OWN. WHY SHOULD I WORK WITH A DOULA?
Having a doula on your team is like having a partner in your pocket. Doulas provide continuous labor support, unlike nurses and providers who have additional obligations and other patients. Doulas provide personal one on one support in addition to holistic alternatives to modern-day medicine.
CAN I GET MORE INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR CERTIFICATIONS?
I’ve had doula training with DONA International, Mama Glow, and Ancient Song Doula Services. I’ve also had fertility training through the National Black Doulas Association, the Fertility and Pregnancy Institute, and Queen Afua Wellness Institute.
CAN I WORK WITH YOU IF I’M NOT YET PREGNANT?
Of course! The best time to prepare for your journey is before you get pregnant. Preconception health is essential for optimal outcomes. Let’s work together to lay a healthy foundation for your fertility.
HOW SOON SHOULD I REACH OUT TO YOU TO GET STARTED?
It is never too early to consult with a doula. As soon as you get started, your support starts and I remain with you for the duration of your journey.
HOW ARE PARTNERS INCORPORATED INTO THE DOULA PROCESS?
Doulas not only support the birthing person, but the partners as well. Doulas do not replace the partners, rather we are an extra source of support. Partners are informed on how to best support the birthing person during the journey and prepared for comfort measures and positions they may assist with on Labor Day.
ARE DOULA SERVICES COVERED BY INSURANCE?
Some services are covered. Consult with your insurance provider as all have different policies. Also, check on HSA approval for doula services.
