My Why My doula journey began while working full-time as an educator and I quickly knew that it would be one of my true passions. After a 30-year career in public education I continued my doula career following an early retirement in 2022. The challenge of teaching children with dyslexia how to read and witnessing their confidence grow in the process made me realize that there were parallels in birth work. Throughout my experience as a teacher I came to believe that education and guidance can empower just about anyone. My hope in transitioning to doula work was for parents-to-be to fully trust in themselves and their bodies to achieve the labor and birth they desire. I feel energized by nurturing others and providing a sense of calm and peace during the most beautiful of experiences. My Mission As a dedicated birth doula and childbirth educator, I am committed to providing nonjudgmental support, education, and advocacy for each family I serve. My mission is to guide and empower you and your family throughout your pregnancy and the labor process, ensuring a customized birth experience that aligns with your desires and preferences. Service introduction

We offer birth doula services which include two prenatal visits, unlimited calls and texts, continuous labor support, and one optional postpartum visit. Childbirth education classes are based on the Lamaze curriculum and follow the Six Healthy Birth Practices. These classes are semi private (no more than four couples) and are broken up into two 4-hour sessions. Refreshments and all materials are included (workbook, make and take items used in labor) Placenta Encapsulation services include a hand delivered small cooler and guidance for safe transport of your placenta from the hospital, 2-day complete encapsulation process, placenta capsules in glass jar with detailed instructions for use, optional tincture, cord keepsake and placenta print.
