My love and passion for birth work came after my own 4 very individual birth experiences, along with attending the births of friends and family members babies. I began to recognize that there was something truly amazing that occurred when women were given the support and education to be empowered as birthing mothers! Recognizing that when these mothers were given the tools they needed to make educated choices, that were right for them, they were also given the power to shape their birth stories in a way that was their own. I have a special place in my heart for first time moms navigating their options and helping new families get started on their journey to parenthood!
~Two prenatal visits to assess your needs and desires for birth. It’s a time to define and understand our expectations of one another, as well as provide you with useful tools for labor and birth. ~ Birth plan assistance to help you clarify your preferences for birth and help explain the options available to you. ~ Continuous physical, emotional and informational support for you and your partner for the duration of labor/birth. ~ Initial breastfeeding support immediately after birth. ~ Unlimited phone/email support to answer questions, offer support/resources through your pregnancy, early labor and postpartum period. ~ One postpartum visit to check in on how you and baby are doing, discuss your birth story, give you notes I took during your labor and any photos that were taken in a small album as a keepsake.

Emily is incredible! She was my doula for my second pregnancy. She was there for me 24/7 to ease my anxiety, provide non bias information, and support me and my husband through labor. She comforted me and showed my husband how to comfort me through labor which was very important to us. Any family would be lucky to have her as their Doula!

Hello all - if you are considering Emily for your doula - do not hesitate. Emily was my doula for the birth of my son. It was my first birth I was admitted into the hospital unexpectedly with complications. I was alone in the hospital for a few hours. As soon as she heard that I was there all by myself she drove 2.5 hours immediately to make sure I had company and was taken care of. She spent time away from her family to be with me for 5 days during this process. Emily took care of everything I needed, anticipating my thoughts before I even had a chance to ask for a favor. When I was having a rough time waiting for contractions to start - she reassured me from a genuine place and helped me feel I like could move forward. When it was time for my baby to born she added in the side of strength that I lacked in the moments when I needed it the most. The feeling of contractions, baby coming down birth canal, providing comfort and relief when it was most needed, staying calm and collected under pressure, pushing me further to the finish line when I needed it the most. She knew everything that I needed to have happen. I felt strong but I could not have done it with out Emily. I am so thankful to have had her there. I would highly recommend her to anyone.
