In honor of Menstrual Hygiene Day (May 28), this 2-day experience, which consists of an interactive workshop + a celebration ceremony, is meant for mothers and daughters to discover the sacred power and beauty of menstruation. Day 1 (May 28) - The 3-hour workshop will be divided into three parts: empowerment, education, and exploration. Empowerment: We'll discuss common stigmas around menstruation and the impact they have on menstrual health awareness, debunk myths about menstruation, and have an empowering talk about ways to honor menstruation as sacred versus shameful. Education: We'll discuss internal + external anatomy (parts, names, and function) and the stages of the menstrual cycle. Exploration: We'll explore different menstrual products, ways to practice self-care during menstruation, and creative ways to chart your menstrual cycle. Day 2 (May 29) - A virtual celebration ceremony will be held to mark this sacred rite of passage in a special way. More details will be shared with participants during the program.
