Someone to advocate for me in the hectic moments of delivery and contractions to help me feel focused and give me knowledgeable insights with methods and positions on how to manage pain during contractions. I have a lot of anxiety going into my second pregnancy after a HORRIBLE experience with my epidural during my stay at Kaiser. The first one didn’t work, and the second one resulted in a spinal headache, and a nurse accidentally gave me too much/extra dosage of the epidural and my legs were pointless and hanging so my mom/husband had to carry them which was even harder to push my 9.7 pound son out. I just want to feel supported and safe.
1. Kaiser Santa Clara 2. Hoping to have Kaiser cover all of the cost 3. Unmediated birth

Hello, our baby is due on June 1, 2026, and we are covered under Kaiser insurance (Priya Vaswani – Kaiser ID 18917120). We would like to know what services are covered under our plan and what the applicable copays would be. Our main needs are: Doula support during delivery Basic care for both mom and baby Guidance on newborn care, as we are first-time parents Please let us know if there’s anything else we should consider. It would be preferable to have someone who speaks both Hindi and English, though this is not required.
1. Kaiser Permanente 2. Covered by the insurance 3. Natural delivery at the hospital
1. I haven’t gotten a referral yet but I think I’ll go with El Camino in Mountain View 2. I’m looking for a doula that accepts tricare. I’m also open to paying out of pocket but tricare would be my first pick. 3. This is my second child and the labor with my first was under 4 hours. Birth plan this time would be to labor without an epidural. All other parts of my birth plan I’m open to suggestions. I’d like to labor at home if possible.
Birth in hospital Would like to try for unmedicated birth
Guiding myself and my support partner through labor, breathing, advocating for me, helping my partner support me, postpartum care, breast feeding. Open to other things too as this is our first child. Plan to give birth at Kaiser San Jose. I want to use my insurance if possible. I want my partner to cut the cord when white.
