Ideally, someone witb a calm nervous system, that is comfortable in a small space, around animals to provide care such as, herbal nourishment, body work with warm oils, belly wrapping, etc. If attending the birth, I am looking for someone who can hold space, who is in tune with their energy, and emotionally support my husband. I will be a first time mom. I am 37. I do not Intend on having any medical interventions. I will not need help with my baby but am open to lactation classes. I intend to exclusively breastfeed. I am self educating by taking courses on physiologic birth and hypno-birthing. Birth does not scare me, postpartum does, a little.

No AROM: I would like to allow my water to break naturally if possible. Please no artificial rupture of membranes unless medically necessary. No Pitocin: Please no Pitocin unless medically necessary. Ok with small amount post-birth. Minimal Vaginal Exams: Vaginal exams only upon my express consent. Please limit exams to the absolute minimum. First time mom, have thyroid nodule from the past that has been in remission till now - 9 weeks pregnant - but want to give birth the most natural and non-medicated way as possible. Interested in delayed cord clamp (more delayed than 1 minute) and no vaccines. So far, plan to give birth in a hospital or birthing center connected or next to a hospital. Planning a hospital birth Budget 1,000-3,99 Because this is an IVF pregnancy, I am looking for a doula who understands the emotional significance of this journey and will provide compassionate, continuous support. I value informed consent and would like all procedures, interventions, and newborn care options explained before decisions are made whenever possible. My goal is a low-intervention birth with freedom to move during labor, use natural comfort measures, minimal cervical checks when appropriate, delayed cord clamping, immediate skin-to-skin contact, and uninterrupted bonding time after birth. I would prefer to avoid induction solely for convenience or to speed up labor and do not want to feel pressured into a cesarean birth unless it is medically necessary. I would also like time to discuss and make informed decisions regarding newborn procedures and injections, rather than having them performed immediately after birth. Most importantly, I am looking for a calm, knowledgeable, evidence-based doula who will help me feel respected, empowered, and supported throughout pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum.
