A calling that has been nurtured for 32 years. I began my career with children as a teenage babysitter. I have been fascinated by child development since I was little more than a child myself. Arriving in the USA in 1991 from Barranquilla, Colombia I was immediately employed by Universal Studios Child Care Center. This experience offered a wide range of infants to care for and deepened my desire to advance in my calling as a childcare specialist. It was in my interactions with various parents that I soon realized how what came naturally to me was frightening to some. In a very short time, parents were asking me to provide services outside of the care center. I was helping with establishing baby sleep schedules, nighttime care and creating baby routines for families. In 1998 I had met my birthing doula trainer and mentor Carmen of Gyntle Touch Birth. At Carmen’s recommendation I also became a certified massage therapist from Touch Therapy Institute. Immediately I offered my time as a birthing and prenatal doula to help low-income unwed mothers. This was my way of giving back in gratitude of my being able to pursue my life’s purpose and obtain a vast amount of experience with a diverse group of mothers. Over the last 32 years I have worked with hundreds of families, from birthing babies, preparing hospital care routines and directives, setting up nursery supplies, prenatal doula, lactation coach, night care, postpartum care, pregnancy and baby massage. Along the way I married and was blessed to deliver my own two children, with my mentor Carmen presiding as my birthing doula. A not so well-kept secret is that my husband and I are gourmet chefs, an additional service many families are excited to have made available to them. I consider myself truly blessed in that I am able to share in the most important part of a family. Incredibly, many of the children I have had a hand in raising continue to contact me throughout their life. I have had the wonderfully good fortune to attend many, confirmations, bar & bat mitzvahs, graduations from elementary, Jr. High, High School, College and recently my first Graduate school ceremony. I respect privacy and discretion, am able to travel, provide meal preparation and offer household management services.

I have over six years of experience in childcare and postpartum support. I’ve worked at postpartum care centers in Yorba Linda and Irvine, cared for more than 30 newborns and mothers, and later supported both special and general education students in the Walnut Valley School District. I really enjoy taking care of mom and helping you recover through continuous support and delicious meals.

My journey as a labor doula began in 2021, driven by a deep passion for supporting families during one of life’s most transformative moments. With a strong foundation in newborn and infant care since 2015, I feel truly honored to walk alongside parents as they welcome their little ones into the world. My background includes working as a Floortime therapist for children with ASD, serving as an after-school program director, and capturing magical memories as a photographer at Disneyland. Yet, nothing compares to the profound joy of hearing a baby's heartbeat on a monitor and then witnessing their first cries as they enter the world. I am committed to continuous learning and aspire to expand my expertise as a postpartum doula and grief/death doula, ensuring I can provide compassionate care at every stage of the journey.

Courtney Falcon was our back up doula for our second child, but it ended up being a great experience and possibly even kismet. We were very lucky to have someone take charge in a warm and loving manner. We felt supported every step of the way. She even stayed many late hours after the birth to help make sure our son was stable and didn't have to go to the NICU. Without her diligence, our child wouldn't have been able to avoid the NICU- she was a godsend. She's extremely knowledgeable, and is always looking to expand her learning. She was always providing us with more resources than we even knew we needed, and not just about babies, but about child/toddler behavior as well. Courtney is also excellent with babies and children, and provided some child care to our family during our times of need. With her previous background working with kids, we felt our kids were in the best of hands. We cannot recommend Courtney Falcon enough to be your doula, please book her today!

I provide nurturing, informed care, assistance, and resources to you, your baby and family as you navigate the postpartum period. As your postpartum doula, my goal is to provide physical and emotional support through what is undoubtedly one of the most profoundly transformational and magical periods of your life. I want you to feel nourished, confident, and empowered to tune in to your own intuition and trust your instincts.

Lisa is a phenomenal postpartum doula! We wish she could have been our PP doula for longer than the four weeks we signed up for. She is an amazing coach for first-time parents—we learned so much from her. Lisa helped us establish a healthy sleep/wake rhythm with our baby, and her lactation and nursing knowledge helped me nurse more efficiently and confidently. With her support, I even took my very first walk around the block with my baby. On top of all that, Lisa is a fantastic chef—she made us a delicious soup that covered dinner for an entire week! Lisa is incredibly knowledgeable, encouraging, and reassuring all at once. We are so grateful and lucky to have had her as part of our journey into parenthood. We truly wish she could have been our doula for longer!

Hi 👋🏼 I am a postpartum doula, meeting families where they are at. I assist with preparing meals, light housework, baby care, lactation support, bottle feeding support, and providing resources. I am a mother of two myself and love empowering parents in such a special time. I work day shifts, late nights and overnights.

Recent review

Barbara was an amazing support for my family in the first weeks of our daughters arrival. She came over the evening we got home from the hospital and because of her I was not anxious to bring my baby home and not know what to do. I had her to ask questions, give support and be an extra set of hands. In the few weeks Barbara was in our home, she made sure my main focus was being with my baby and healing my body. She aided in nourishing my body with healthy snacks, drinks and meals as well as taught me the reasons behind the healing properties certain ingredients had. There were countless times I didn’t need to ask for help on things around the house, Barbara would be one step ahead of me already doing it. This created a great flow between the two of us. The advice and knowledge that Barbara gave my family eased our mind many times. My husband was able to return to work knowing that baby and I were well taken care of and supported. Her support exceeded my expectations of what a postpartum doula brings to your family. Thank you Barbara for the wonderful experience. You helped our family in the best way possible.

We cannot say enough good things about Zala! She is absolutely amazing and hiring her was the best decision we've made for our little girl. Zala is a wealth of knowledge and incredibly professional. She put our minds at ease from night one, and helped create a schedule for our daughter and got her sleep trained within just a few short months. This is our first child, so naturally we weren't sure what to expect, but having Zala was like having a personal, dedicated, expert caregiver that truly cared about her wellbeing and was open to discussing and working with us as we navigated the first few months of her life. We would give her 10 stars, if we could. She is worth every penny and is an amazing person and will undoubtedly make a lasting impression on anyone she works with.

Elena was our night nurse starting at the end of December last year, and she worked with our family for two months. Simply put—she was the best help I could have ever asked for during that time. As a first-time mom navigating those exhausting newborn nights, having he support made all the difference. She brought a calming presence, a wealth of knowledge, and so much genuine care for our son. From creating a gentle routine to helping us understand his cues, Elena guided us every step of the way and gave us the confidence (and rest!) we truly needed. We felt completely at ease with her, and our baby loved her.

Hi! I’m Rechelle, a trained postpartum doula and newborn care specialist based in Van Nuys, CA. Growing up in Victorville, an underserved community with limited access to OB/GYNs and specialized care, shaped my passion for maternal health and advocacy. My journey into postpartum support began with an internship at Black Infant Health, where I saw firsthand the impact of culturally relevant care, especially for Black families facing higher risks and poor health outcomes. I trained with the DNT Network, a program that prepares doulas to provide high-quality, evidence-based postpartum and newborn care, because I value relationship-centered, accurate, and accessible care for every family. My background in public health, combined with personal experience supporting my brother who has special needs, has shown me the gaps families face and inspired my mission to close them. As a doula, my philosophy is simple: every family deserves compassionate, personalized support. I work closely with families to provide postpartum care in ways that are grounded, practical, and nurturing. Whether it’s feeding, soothing, sleep, light household tasks, or emotional support, my focus is on practical care that makes your nights easier. My mission is to reduce maternal health disparities while honoring the unique needs of each family I serve.

Recent review

Rechelle was such a blessing during my birth journey. From the very beginning, she made me feel seen, heard, and cared for. She brought so much comfort and reassurance, not just for me but for my family too. Her presence was calming, her knowledge was grounding, and I I highly recommend her to any family looking for a dedicated and loving birth worker.

I began my journey with a strong desire to help women from all walks of life. This passion gradually evolved into a keen interest in pregnancy and childbirth, sparking my aspiration to become a midwife. While currently pursuing my degree, I realized I couldn't wait any longer to start supporting women during their pregnancies. Alongside my passion, I bring qualities like willingness, compassion, empathy, dedication, patience, understanding, and adaptability that I believe are crucial for helping women. Hello! I’m Joselyn, a proud mom who chose home births for my two little ones. Let's look back at my life before motherhood when the idea of childbirth intimidated me more than anything, thanks to all those stories and dramatic TV shows with women screaming their heads off in the delivery room. When I became pregnant with my daughter back in 2020, I dove into research, preparing my mind, body, and spirit for a positive birth—but I completely overlooked planning for postpartum and felt quite overwhelmed. Wanting to enhance my skills, I completed a 112-hour training with Bebo Mia Inc. and became certified with Pro Doula to become a full-spectrum doula. My journey also led me to explore the rich traditions of Mexican indigenous birth and postpartum practices, allowing me to honor my heritage while expanding my knowledge.
