We are looking for short-term help with our newborn, mainly guidance on feeding, establishing a healthy sleep schedule, and making sure everything is going well overall. We don’t need help with household chores like cleaning, cooking, or laundry. Our focus is simply making sure the baby is doing well and that we are following the right routines and practices as new parents. We would appreciate someone with experience in newborn care who can provide insight and reassurance while we get the hang of everything. This support would likely be needed for just a couple of weeks. Our budget is flexible since we are still learning what the typical rates are.
I want to have a home birth I don’t have a budget as of yet I just want to get an estimate and my birth plan is as follows (based on hospital setting but can also apply to home birth) Birth Preferences Environment •Dim lighting •Calm music / nature sounds •Minimal staff and interruptions •Essential oils or natural scents allowed •Freedom to move, walk, or change positions •Access to birthing ball, tub, or shower •Partner present at all times ⸻ Labor Preferences •I decline to labor with pain medication. •I prefer natural pain relief methods such as: • Breathing and relaxation techniques • Movement and position changes • Warm compresses or water therapy (shower/tub) • Massage or counterpressure • Visualization / prayer / affirmations • I prefer intermittent fetal monitoring instead of continuous. • I DECLINE unnecessary vaginal exams. • I DECLINE IV, unless medically necessary (saline lock only if needed). • I DECLINE labor induction or augmentation (Pitocin, breaking water) unless medically required. ⸻ Delivery Preferences • I prefer to push in upright or side-lying positions. • I prefer to follow my body’s natural urges to push. • I prefer to avoid episiotomy (allow tearing if needed). • I prefer delayed cord clamping • I prefer partner to cut the umbilical cord. • I prefer immediate skin-to-skin contact after birth. ⸻ After Birth • Baby to stay with me at all times (rooming in). • I plan to breastfeed exclusively; please no formula or pacifiers. • No interruptions during bonding time. • If baby needs to be taken to nursery, partner accompanies baby. • I prefer to delay the first bath until at least 24 hours after birth. ⸻ In Case of Cesarean (If Needed) • Gentle or family-centered cesarean (clear drape, music allowed). • Partner present during surgery. • Immediate skin-to-skin if possible, or with partner. • Delayed cord clamping if possible. • Breastfeeding in recovery room.

I’m alone here in the state and I’m worried of not being able to take care of my self or the baby in case my delivery was hard. My husband has a lot of work and I might be home alone most of time. I want to make sure someone helps if I had a surgery or a hard delivery. I’m giving birth at WAKEMED Raleigh. I’m on Medicaid and I don’t have a plan.

Hello, I am looking for a labor support Doula for the birth of my first child in Late June/early July. I have not yet decided whether I will have a home birth, or of give birth at Naval Medical Center. I am planning to have a natural, unmediated birth and know I will need physical and emotional support through it.
I would do it in the hospital but I don’t want it to feel like I’m in the hospital, I don’t want the staff bombarding me and intervening every 5 seconds. I want to do it naturally, in better positions than what the hospital wants me to do… I’m not positive about all of the rest but I just want someone that’s going to vouch for me while I’m vulnerable and I fear my husband is too nice and they will walk all over him… I’m not even sure about an estimated budget but I do know I would need someone who takes tricare to help with the cost!
I plan on giving birth in a hospital non-medicated. I will not be giving birth on my back.
