About me

I am a specialist in Maternal Mental Health and focus my work helping people during the transition to parenthood and beyond. I have extensive experience in assisting people through traumatic births, perinatal mood disorders and infant loss. I am trained in EMDR and actively working towards certification through EMDRIA. For over eight years I have worked closely with women in all stages of pregnancy and early motherhood. I have helped clients through birth trauma, infant loss, infertility, and adoption. I am trained in EMDR and actively working towards certification through EMDRIA.

Frequently asked questions

How long are sessions and frequently

Sessions are fifty (50) minutes and are usually scheduled weekly. Treatment plans are developed collaboratively and many clients move to bi-weekly sessions as therapy moves forward.

What are your rates?

Intake session rate is $200 with follow on sessions at $175. Payment is due at the time of service and is payable via the patient portable by personal credit or debit card, as well as HSA debit cards. The system generates transaction receipts for each session containing diagnostic codes necessary for insurance reimbursement.

Do you take insurance?

I am considered an out-of-network provider for all insurance companies. I am an approved out of network provider for Tricare. Most major insurance companies offer mental health coverage of non-participating providers’ charges under out of network benefits.

What is EMDR?

EMDR is a structured therapy that encourages the patient to briefly focus on the trauma memory while simultaneously experiencing bilateral stimulation (typically eye movements), which is associated with a reduction in the vividness and emotion associated with the trauma memories. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is an extensively researched, effective psychotherapy method proven to help people recover from trauma and PTSD symptoms.
