Childbirth support and education Plan to give birth in a Hospital

Hoping to give birth at a birthing center near Jersey city! Hospital will be a backup. Hoping our insurance covers a midwife. Figuring all of that out now. I am wanting an unmedicated birth.

Starting to try to get pregnant! I would like a low intervention birth(I think) and help getting sleep post birth. I will either give birth update in Hudson or in nyc.

I would prefer to give birth in a birthing center or to do a home birth. We are still evaluating our budget, we are open to paying out of pocket.

I want to labor privately at home. I’d love to incorporate water into my home birth but it’s not mandatory. What’s most important is my mental health staying calm and focused on my baby. This is my second birth. My son was born 10 years ago, and I carried out a natural labor with him with no complications 🤍 am interested in a midwife for communications via smartphone and labor/birthing help on that special day. Prenatal check up I will use my provider. In the event I must birth at the hospital, I’d like a doula to advocate for me my wants and needs.
