This is my 3rd birth. My first two were at home but this one I plan to give birth in a hospital but would like little to no intervention. My plan is to wait as long as possible before heading to the hospital. I'd like to give birth squatting or on all fours but definitely not on my back if that can be helped. I want my baby to stay in the room with me and have skin to skin contact immediately after birth. I would also like delayed cord clamping (until the cord is white and no longer pulsating). I am hoping my insurance covers the cost of a birth and postpartum doula.

I’m looking for an advocate to help navigate a hospital birth, and provide the support I need during labor. I want to avoid unnecessary interventions and aim for a medication-free experience. Hoping to be able to focus on myself/my breathing without having to answer a million questions from hospital staff. I may also interested in breastfeeding guidance. Estimated budget is $1500-$2500.

This is my first baby. I have never intended to be a mom so this is all brand new. I am very coachable. I am very go with the flow, so if I can give birth without meds to make it go faster and move around, great! If the pain is too much and I feel I need an epidural, great! I feel like I need a professional to tell me what's up and give me advice during the birthing process. There is so much information I'm trying to absorb and it's a bit much. I also will need help with life adjustments after the baby is born. Routines, feeding schedule, any tips, tricks, pointers on pretty much everything! I plan on having the baby at Mills-Peninsula medical center in Burlingame. My birth plan is vague so far. I know I want skin to skin right away and also to keep the placenta attached until there's nothing left in it, but these are already default procedures at the hospital. I need a bit of help with a birth plan because I have no idea what to expect or what my options even are! I'm not sure my budget, that we will have to discuss? I need to understand more of what I need and how this works.
