Birth Doula Care
During Pregnancy: Once I'm hired on as your doula, you have unlimited phone, text, or email support throughout the pregnancy. Typically we do an intake meeting shortly after the contract is signed, at least one virtual meeting, and at least one in-person meeting prior to birth. I also do a short, virtual weekly check-in with families starting at 36 weeks.
During Birth: When your birthing time begins, I will either meet you in your home or at the birthing place. I will continue to support you and your partner through the entire birth. Medical staff change shifts, but I am there through it all! Birth support looks different for every family. I gently offer birth positioning to help Baby engage with the pelvis, birth hypnosis, counter-pressure and light massage, rebozo work, aromatherapy, visualization, and more.
Partner Support:
Birth partners are so important. I tell people that I'm the partner's doula just as much as the birther's doula. I make sure the partner's questions are answered, is able to feel close and connected with their loved one, and gets food+rest
After Birth: After Baby is born, I stay for a little while to assist with skin-to-skin bonding, the first feeding, take photos of your first moments together, and feed you some light nourishment. Then I leave y'all to enjoy your sweet new rosebud. The next time I see you will be at your postpartum visit back at the home. My fee includes two in-home postpartum visits.
Postpartum Care
Daytime Postpartum Doula Care:
Booked in 4-hr or 8-hr shifts, postpartum doula care serves everyone in the home. My focus is to help you both get your needs met so you can bond deeply with your new baby.
At the start of each session, I’ll sit down with you and talk about what feels most important, since newborn needs tend to change hour by hour. I can assist with: newborn care while birther and partner rest, light housekeeping, cooking, grocery trips, teaching newborn care, answering questions about Baby’s development week by week, care for other children or pets in the home, and more!
Overnight Doula Care
These newborn nights can be long and challenging! To help you and your partner recuperate, I provide 8 hours of overnight care for baby plus fresh breakfast on the table in the morning so you can start the day nourished and refreshed.
