Do you feel lost in your thoughts and tied down to responsibilities for others (maybe a partner/spouse, work, family members, church or even your child)? Sometimes this causes loss of self and identity, overwhelming anxiety, low self-esteem, perfectionism, depression and dissatisfaction with life. We believe that hardship must be overcome by ourselves, however with time we learn we can't do it alone. As an Asian American therapist, I provide culturally responsible care and have successfully worked with high-achieving working professionals struggling with perfectionism, highly stressed and often experiencing low self esteem, reduced self worthiness, anxiety and depression. Therapy is a safe and intentional process of working through challenges, linking to past traumas, developing healthier boundaries and meaningful relationships. My approach to therapy reinforces self compassion, collaboration, support to meet goals and my style is both warm and realistic. I provide mindfulness based interventions and practices, while incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for depression/anxiety; and Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) to understand your relationship with others as well as trauma-informed therapy while introducing Brainspotting for trauma healing. We will work towards developing the skills and tools needed to cope through life's challenges as well as empowering your sense of self. Therapy can feel scary and I completely get it.
