Service introduction

As a seasoned lactation consultant with a public health foundation, I offer holistic and personalized breastfeeding support designed to empower families and promote optimal health outcomes for both parent and baby. My services address the full spectrum of infant feeding needs, from prenatal education to post-weaning transitions, all delivered with evidence-based practices and cultural sensitivity. Prenatal Consultations My work begins before baby arrives. I provide prenatal education to help families prepare for breastfeeding with confidence. These sessions include guidance on breast changes during pregnancy, setting realistic expectations, creating a feeding plan, and addressing any concerns related to maternal health conditions, previous breastfeeding experiences, or birth plans. I also equip parents with tools and strategies to initiate feeding successfully during the "golden hour" post-birth. Postpartum Support & Breastfeeding Assessment After delivery, I offer in-home or virtual consultations to assess latch quality, milk supply, feeding positioning, and baby’s growth markers. I help identify and troubleshoot common challenges like nipple pain, engorgement, low supply, oversupply, and tongue or lip ties. For parents recovering from birth trauma or navigating NICU stays, I provide emotional support and customized care plans to foster bonding and successful feeding routines. Pumping & Bottle-Feeding Education Whether exclusive pumping, chestfeeding with expressed milk, or supplementing with formula, I guide families through the safe handling, storage, and feeding of milk. I help select appropriate pumps, create a pumping schedule that supports milk production, and teach paced bottle-feeding methods to protect the breastfeeding relationship. For returning-to-work parents, I support a smooth transition with strategies that preserve milk supply and emotional connection. Weaning Guidance & Toddler Feeding Support Weaning is a personal journey, and I offer compassionate support through both planned and unexpected transitions. I advise on how to maintain comfort during gradual or abrupt weaning and offer guidance for feeding older infants and toddlers, addressing nutrition, behavioral shifts, and emotional changes.
