About Joanna

Hi! I'm Joanna but everyone calls me Jo (she/her/hers). I am a Birth Doula, as well as a Children and Families Social Worker. I am also a wife and mother. I have ways been passionate about working with people and after having my son I was inspired to empower families during pregnancy and birth. I believe everyone should have a doula. Things I enjoy are drinking a good hot cup of tea, a good book, the smell of the fresh outdoors, finding new adventures to get lost in and just doing things that give me pure joy and adrenaline in life. In my free time you will find me learning new things, cooking, crafting, helping others out, dancing with my toddler and spending time with those I love.

Prenatal/Birth Support

Complimentary consultation to get to know one another and your hopes for birth. Prenatal visit to go over birth, different labor techniques, how to support you, different coping techniques, evidence-based information,etc. Continuous phone/text support. On call from 38 weeks till birth. Stay with you after birth and support with breastfeeding and making sure you and baby are doing well. Postpartum visit up to 6 weeks and providing additional resources if needed.

What to expect

Services include: free consultation, prenatal visits(in-person or virtual), continues email, phone & text support, on call starting at 38 weeks, back up doula incase needed, after birth with you 1 to 2 hours and breastfeeding support, postpartum visit up to 6 weeks.
