We are expecting our first baby in January 2027 and are looking for an experienced Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) or night nurse to support us during the first 6–8 weeks postpartum. Our primary goal is to ensure the baby receives attentive, safe, and consistent overnight care while allowing me to get adequate sleep and recover physically after delivery. Our support needs include: * Overnight newborn care: Handling nighttime diaper changes, feeding, burping, soothing, and settling the baby back to sleep. * Feeding support: We plan to breastfeed and bottle-feed, ideally using expressed breast milk. We would appreciate someone experienced with paced bottle feeding, breastfeeding support, and coordinating nighttime feeds around the mother’s breastfeeding goals. * Safe sleep and newborn care: Following evidence-based safe sleep practices, monitoring feeding and diaper output, and recognizing signs that may require medical attention. * Postpartum recovery: Helping minimize the mother’s overnight responsibilities so she can rest and recover. * Daily updates: Maintaining feeding, diaper, and sleep logs and communicating any concerns or observations. * Light baby-related housekeeping: Washing and sterilizing bottles and pump parts, organizing baby supplies, and keeping the nursery tidy. We are open to both awake overnight and sleeping night care arrangements, but would prefer someone who can remain awake throughout the shift if needed to provide more consistent support.
