About me

Growing up, I have always been fascinated by human development and evolution through a physiological and spiritual framework. Watching how teaching fulfilled my grandmother, and still watching how social work fulfills my mother, has given me the greatest gift of what community care and education can do. During my pursuit of an Anthropology and Education Bachelor of Arts degree, the core curriculum that helped me to inform and build the foundation of care I offer, involved studying gender, endocrinology, ecology, anatomy and physiology. Soon into my program, I began my official training as a full spectrum doula, focusing on fertility, birth, and the postpartum period. My work prioritizes genuine connection and evidence based care. I am deeply grateful to all of those who came before me, including my mother and grandmother, mentors and friends, who have offered their support and guidance. The powerful women in my life have, without a doubt, shaped and influence the work I do today. I am always striving to better my practice and offerings through constant education. I recognize each girl, women, and those with uteruses, all have unique journeys and experiences. It is my priority to bring the same calming, encouraging, and positive energy to each person to educate, empower, and help guide them into making informed decisions about their health and well-being.

With my husband and I expecting our second child and no family or friends near by to help with our first, I began to panic that I may have to give birth alone. Luckily it was mentioned I may be able to find a sibling doula- someone to help with the older sibling and prep for the younger one coming in. With some research I found sibling doulas to be hard to find, but luckily I found a couple! When I interviewed with Juli, I immediately felt like she was the right fit for our family. We did a couple practice meetings for our older child to get used to her and make sure they also connected. I ended up giving birth 1 month early and was so happy we had someone we could trust and count on for the few days I was in the hospital so my husband could be with me. We ended up also hiring juli as a post partum doula! It was nice to have an extra pair of hands to help with the little ones and I also enjoyed some light massages to help me relax. I definitely recommend Juli and we hope to hire her again for our next little one.

Julliana was a breath of fresh air from the minute we spoke on the phone I liked her. After meeting her, I figured out why. She will give you such a good feeling walking into your labor room with her strong expertise and calm aura she is very knowledgeable and really helped me go into my delivery feeling strong and empowered. I highly recommend Julianna to anyone looking for a doula you won't regret your decision that's for sure. Thank you Julianna

Julianna was incredible. Her calming presence was exactly what we needed in the delivery room. She walked us through every step of the way before the birth to help us feel prepared and was then a source of peace and comfort on delivery day. Finding the right person to share such a precious moment with can be challenging, and after interviewing over 10 different doulas we felt right at home with Julianna. Couldn't recommend highly enough!

Julianna was such a joy and blessing to have by our side, through my birth and initial postpartum period. She's so helpful and has a very grounding, calm presence. I felt very supported with her during my birth- she kept me going when I needed encouragement, and helped us document the birth while we focused on bringing our daughter into the world. She is willing to do whatever you need, even helped whip up some great meals and baked goods while I was recovering from birth. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a birth or postpartum doula!

Julianna is magic. We couldn't have gone through the labor and birth process without her! From our first meeting, I felt immediately at ease with Julianna-- she works with you as a partner, and as a friend. She offers support based on your preferences and priorities, and is very flexible and co creates your plan vs being prescriptive and judgmental. She is equally calming and empathetic, which was so important to me having experienced medical and loss trauma previously. Most importantly, throughout the labor and birth process at the hospital, Julianna coached my husband and I through everything, advocated for us, and ensured I felt supported and capable after a 24 hour labor and a 3am vaginal delivery. Her cheering me on through pain, gentle massages, physical and emotional support, were so needed. Pre labor and postpartum she has shared wonderful resources, and applicable exercises as well. I am lucky to have worked with her, and I highly recommend anyone who is pregnant considering working with a birth doula to 1. DO IT and 2. WORK WITH JULIANNA!
