I plan to give birth in a hospital and my budget is unsure right now. I am not pregnant yet but I am looking for someone that would be a good fit once I am pregnant. I want to try and unmedicated labor, or to at least how far I can get on my own. I need someone to support and advocate for me when I'm in the hospital. I am open to getting and epidural but I don't want to be stuck in a bed for my whole labor process.

This is my 5th pregnancy in 8 years. 2 chemicals. I have a 7 year old, a 19 months old, & am pregnant naturally at 35. We didn't try to prevent we used natural family planning. We are beyond excited about the surprise addition. We want a different better experience outside a hospital preferably at home. However we aren't against hospital or birthing centers for the birth. I have bipolar, anxiety, & am currently going through pTsd from traumatic incident in November. I am in weekly therapy as well. I have had one ultrasound so far. I have been induced both times. I had an epidural as well. I want a better experience I want better for my baby. I would love to go to sleep on my own bed after giving birth use my own bathroom feel comfortable & safe.

We are located in Platte City, Missouri and plan to give birth at north Kansas City hospital. We would like to stay under $1000 for a doula. We currently don’t have a birth plan but we are looking for someone with strong Christian background, can help educate us better with a birth plan, the birthing process(natural and medicated), what comes after, vaccines, and postpartum. I'm not confirmed pregnant yet, but hoping to be pregnant soon. This will be my 2nd pregnancy. My first ended in emergency c-section due to my baby's low heart rate and the umbilical being wrapped twice around his neck. A vaginal, unmedicated birth was my goal. I'm looking for a provider that is supportive of low-intervention VBACs with a low c-section rate. I'm leaning toward a hospital birth, just for the security if something goes wrong again and a c-section is the only option to save my baby's life again. I'd also be curious to get an estimated out-of-pocket cost and to learn what services my insurance would cover.

I am open to possibilities of hospital birth but I would prefer a home birth. Still undecided. I don't know the price ranges for this service yet, not sure what to expect or what I need to come up with. Will decide if I can afford it after I find a price range. I have had one c section and one vbac. My goal is to have an unmedicated vbac this time.
