About me

Hello- my name is Katherine and I am a physical therapist specializing in pelvic health for both women and children, and infant/early childhood development. I utilize a holistic treatment approach and seek to identify the root cause of symptoms. I help empower moms to feel confident and strong in their bodies at every stage of life. I also help parents feel confident in their child’s development. I specialize in infant development and pediatric pelvic health. My goal is to help your child reach their full potential! I am a devoted mother to two young, rambunctious boys, which gives me a unique perspective on the challenges and joys of parenting. I know firsthand how important it is for parents to feel supported and empowered, and I bring this compassionate approach to my work. When I'm not helping patients, I enjoy spending time outdoors, walks with my Brittany Spaniel, practicing yoga, and indulging in warm vanilla lattes.

Service introduction

I offer mobile physical therapy services around the Des Moines metro and surrounding areas. For clients who are not located in Iowa, I also offer virtual wellness and coaching visits. Services I provide include pregnancy/postpartum care, pediatric pelvic health concerns and difficulty potty training, concerns with developmental milestones, management of torticollis and plagiocephaly, breastfeeding concerns, functional assessment of tethered oral tissues (tongue/lip ties), and pre/post frenotomy (tongue/lip tie release) care.

Pediatric Pelvic Health

I offer custom packages to help families navigate potty training difficulties and other pelvic health concerns (constipation, urinary incontinence, bed wetting, urinary tract infections). Packages are tailored to your child and their unique needs and range in price depending on your specific goals. Packages include a thorough initial evaluation, and a combination of in-person follow-up sessions, phone check-ins, and ongoing messaging support over a 4-6 month period.

Pregnancy/Postpartum

I offer a pregnancy package that includes 5 visits for mom, and 1 infant development screen around 4 weeks of age. Visits can be used both during and after pregnancy, depending on your symptoms and goals.

At our 2 month checkup our pediatrician noticed a flat spot on our son’s head. We were very impressed with Katherine and her knowledge and expertise! She was very thorough and taught us all about repositioning techniques during nap time, playtime, and feedings. Within a few months, our son’s head was much more symmetrical. We highly recommend Katherine!
