I would like to give birth in hospital. My budget is about $500 I've had emergency c-section 2 years ago and planning to give birth naturally and in water if possible.

We are looking for a birth doula to accompany us with our second baby. 1st baby came into this world at home with no medical interventions and was not a water birth. Birth plan would look the same now, although we are also open to water birth. Budget under 1000 CAD. We arrive back in Canada the 1st of April so are looking to work with someone more for the last few months of pregnancy and at the time of birth specifically. Thank you 🙏

Hello! I recently had a quite traumatic C-section and recovery experience. I found I am pregnant 3 months after giving birth, my doctor informed me with the right support I will be able to have a successful V-bac. This would make my pregnancies almost 12 months apart. I am so determined to have a successful V-bac and would love help, experience, and guidance throughout this journey to make it the most successful. My C-section was not warranted, I was not told my baby was sunny side up until I was pushing, then I was pushed into a csection . Knowing what I know now, I wouldn’t of had one.

I’m planning to give birth at the hospital I’m not sure what our budget is. And I don’t know what my birth plan should be.

We have an OB for our firstborn. We will be delivering in the Burnaby hospital. The budget is around 1k but is flexible depending on the match. We plan to give birth naturally and with the earliest chance injection of epidural as possible.

 I am currently looking for a birth doula for my first pregnancy. This is my first baby, and my due date is April 22, 2026. I feel scared and nervous when I think about labour and birth. I am planning to have a vaginal birth and have some concerns about tearing. I am also hoping for a calm and peaceful birthing environment, as I tend to feel anxious in busy settings, such as rooms with frequent interruptions or medical students present. I am looking for a doula who can advocate for me and my baby and help me feel supported and informed throughout the process. I also wanted to ask whether your doulas are certified through a recognized organization, or if you are registered as a paramedical practitioner in British Columbia (such as a Naturopathic Doctor or Social Worker). I have extended health benefits through Pacific Blue Cross and would be using those benefits. Ideally, I am looking for someone who can submit claims under their registration or provide an official receipt that includes their registration number for reimbursement purposes. 1. Hospital - New West Royal Columbian 2. Standard pricing 3. Unmedicated if easy / epidural if not easy. Prefer as least as possible medical interventions and checks before and during labor by the hospital doctors. As natural as possible. If not possible, of course open to it just not as the first option. I am looking for help with birth positions, back massage, provide tens machine, peanut ball, and guidance to me and my husband. Guiding us through the process to enjoy it as much as possible. It is our first baby. Preferably medically educated, experienced and non-religious doula. Someone kind, warm, and caring would be great.

1. Royal Columbian Hospital 2. $1500-$2000 3. I have placenta previa which may resolve. If not, I may have a scheduled c-section. If not, I do plan on vaginal birth with medication assistance (i.e. epidural for pain). Seeking support post-partum as well.
