Hello, My name is Megumi and I’m writing this inquiry from Japan. My sister who lives in Illinois gave a birth the day before yesterday. Since I live overseas and unable to fly out there for the time being to help her I’m trying to figure out a way I could be of any support for my sister even if I’m physically away. One of the few things could be to help find her an experienced doula since she and he husband are too busy looking after their baby and helping each other now. Not sure what kind of requirements my sister would need but based on my own experience when I had a doula here in Tokyo about 5 years ago I think someone definitely with certification and several years of experience would be a must, and also being able to cook and do basic house cleaning would be ideal. What’s average doula fee is like there? I only had one in Japan so have no idea.

Hello - my husband and I welcomed our first child early this February. I had a very difficult birth experience that's led to significant postpartum anxiety/depression, in addition to navigating lots of persistent feeding and subsequent colic issues with our son. A need for greater postpartum support is evident. We are looking forward to continuing this conversation about options - thank you!
Description of Needs: We are seeking an experienced night doula or newborn care specialist for a short term, shared care arrangement from May 26th through June 1st. You will be caring for two infants simultaneously: our daughter Renee (3.5 months old) and my brother's baby (6 months old). The care will take place at my brother's home, located at 1568 Anderson Ln, Buffalo Grove, Illinois 60089. Care Details and Duties: • Managing all overnight feedings, soothing, and diaper changes for both babies to help maximize sleep for the parents. • Tracking sleep and feeding schedules. • Performing light, baby related duties such as washing and sterilizing bottles and reloading formula dispenser. • Neither baby has special medical needs or complex feeding requirements at this time. Estimated Budget: • We are anticipating a rate of $50 to 60 per hour, commensurate with your experience level.
Looking for options for an overnight doula or nanny to help as we get settled with twins. Certifications with new borns desired.
We have a toddler and both work from home so we need support after our second baby is born in May. We both work from home so ideally someone could come here to watch both of our babies in our home while we work. We need someone that we can trust to be an extension of our parenting and to work with us instead of against us to support feeding, changing, babysitting during work hours and potentially a night nurse to help us with overnight needs so that we can get rest. We plan to give birth at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. We plan to use an epidural like we did for the first birth and follow standard medical guidelines. We are fortunate to receive a $30,000 benefit from my company to use toward eligible doula services so that is our budget although given the mostly part-time nature of this role, I think that should be more than enough for our needs.

Need postpartum doula for higher risk pregnancy mom
I'm 26 years old and a first-time mom, feeling a bit overwhelmed since I don't have experience with motherhood. I'm looking for support from Advocate Lutheran General Hospital and hoping to find a free doula to assist me with my newborn during my postpartum period, as I don't work and can't afford extra help. My goal is to have a natural vaginal birth without using an epidural. I have a Meridian Health plan. Looking for a postpartum doula to help after the baby is born for just 2-3 hours.
