As a mother to 3 boys, I know how impactful the birthing experience can be. Amy’s professional and personal endeavors have always been driven by an unwavering commitment to supporting thriving children and empowered families- as a devoted eldest sister to 5 siblings, a professional nanny specializing in infants and toddlers, a direct support professional and in-home caregiver, a social worker, and now as a Postpartum Doula! Amy views the postpartum period as a time of profound transformation and is honored to witness and support families throughout the 4th trimester with non-judgmental, compassionate care. Amy integrates her social work education with her deep understanding of maternal mental health, infant development, and community resources to provide evidence-based information, emotional support, and referrals to local resources. At the core of Amy’s approach is the principle of nourishment- whether this comes in the form of preparing a nutrient dense meal or a warming herbal tea, a nurturing conversation, or caring for baby while parents rest or engage in a self care practice. Marnellie Bishop (she/her) is a certified birth and postpartum doula and childbirth educator. Marnellie has additional training as a Hypnobabies® Instructor & Hypno-Doula. She also serves the Portland, OR community as a board member and Chief Finance & Operations Officer at Community Doula Alliance. Prior to pursuing her passion to support families on their perinatal journey, Marnellie completed a Bachelors degree in Business Administration and used her degree to help grow and sell her family’s printing company. As a 2nd generation immigrant to Filipino parents, Marnellie understands the intersectionality that many immigrant families face when it comes to identifying their parenting styles through the lens of their cultural background and today’s parenting values. Through her work as a community member, doula and childbirth educator, Marnellie seeks to help growing families feel empowered and confident in their unique journey through parenthood. Growing up in Pacific Northwest set deep roots for Marnellie and she is proud to call Portland her “forever home.” Marnellie is a wife, mother to two active children and dog-mom to a Lagotto Romagnolo. Teach private in-home twin and triplet classes, initial set up (both prenatally and once babies come home), follow AAP infant safe sleep recommendations, reflux, bottle washing, pump sanitizing, storing breastmilk/formula safely, taking care of mom and babies. Following infant sleep studies and continuing ongoing education often.

Meet Tallina, a dedicated postpartum doula and childbirth educator. Growing up with six brothers and one sister, she mastered the art of caring for her siblings and is often hailed as the best big sister ever! Tallina lives in Portland with her two spouses and their three furry companions: Zuko, the playful landshark dog; Rory, the wise old cat; and Falcor, the curious kitty. In her free time, she enjoys reading, spending time with her family, and creating fun, funky art for her yard. After years of working with toddlers and families in daycare and outreach programs, Tallina discovered her passion for birth work. Following her training and certification, she went from being curious about birth to being utterly in love with the science and magic behind it. Her goal is to support clients in achieving their ideal birth experience. Tallina understands that childbirth can be challenging, so she works closely with your birth team. Her trauma-aware, family-focused approach aims to empower you with knowledge and resilience. She fosters an atmosphere of laughter and love in the birthing suite and at home.
