Someone to advocate for me in the hectic moments of delivery and contractions to help me feel focused and give me knowledgeable insights with methods and positions on how to manage pain during contractions. I have a lot of anxiety going into my second pregnancy after a HORRIBLE experience with my epidural during my stay at Kaiser. The first one didn’t work, and the second one resulted in a spinal headache, and a nurse accidentally gave me too much/extra dosage of the epidural and my legs were pointless and hanging so my mom/husband had to carry them which was even harder to push my 9.7 pound son out. I just want to feel supported and safe.

Hello, our baby is due on June 1, 2026, and we are covered under Kaiser insurance (Priya Vaswani – Kaiser ID 18917120). We would like to know what services are covered under our plan and what the applicable copays would be. Our main needs are: Doula support during delivery Basic care for both mom and baby Guidance on newborn care, as we are first-time parents Please let us know if there’s anything else we should consider. It would be preferable to have someone who speaks both Hindi and English, though this is not required.
Guiding myself and my support partner through labor, breathing, advocating for me, helping my partner support me, postpartum care, breast feeding. Open to other things too as this is our first child. Plan to give birth at Kaiser San Jose. I want to use my insurance if possible. I want my partner to cut the cord when white. I want to wait as long as I can for epidural, baby should not leave the room, we want the golden hour etc

1. I haven’t gotten a referral yet but I think I’ll go with El Camino in Mountain View 2. I’m looking for a doula that accepts tricare. I’m also open to paying out of pocket but tricare would be my first pick. 3. This is my second child and the labor with my first was under 4 hours. Birth plan this time would be to labor without an epidural. All other parts of my birth plan I’m open to suggestions. I’d like to labor at home if possible.

My partner plans to give birth at Sutter in Santa Cruz. No budget. Vaginal birth, no plan just yet
I plan to give birth at El Camino Health in Mountain View (Hospital) Budget is $2500 Need help for labor/ childbirth support (especially while in hospital) and lactation support (no additional duties) I'm a 30 years old female with no special needs or complications
I plan to give birth at a hospital in the San Jose area (such as Good Samaritan, El Camino, Kaiser Santa Clara, or O’Connor Hospital, depending on availability). My budget is flexible and based on the typical Bay Area market rate for a birth doula — around $1,800–3,500 for a standard package that includes 2–3 prenatal visits, 24/7 on-call support, continuous labor and birth support, and 1–2 postpartum visits. My birth plan is hospital-based with flexibility for pain management: I’d like to start with non-medical comfort measures (breathing, movement, massage, TENS, warm shower, etc.) and opt for an epidural if needed. I hope to have a doula who provides emotional support, guidance, and advocacy throughout labor, helps communicate with the medical team, and supports partner involvement. I also value evidence-based prenatal education (stages of labor, hospital procedures, pain management options, postpartum recovery, newborn care) and postpartum follow-up for breastfeeding and emotional well-being. If possible, I would appreciate a doula who can communicate in both English and Chinese.
