I plan to give birth at a birthing center. I’m looking for quotes and don’t necessarily have an estimated budget. I want to have an unmedicated birth with support from a doula and midwife — who are ideally Black. I’d like providers that have experience, especially with clients who have trauma history. I am 31 years old and nonbinary. I am looking for care and support prenatal, during birth, and after. My insurance provider is Carefirst, an HMO plan.

Not sure where i would want to birth at yet, i do have Medicaid through the state of MD.

I want to feel confident, know my rights and know that someone is there to speak up for me when I may be unable to or uncertain. I plan on having a birth plan created.
