About me

I’m a DONA-certified birth doula with over 30 years of experience in family advocacy and early childhood development. God led me to this work through the transformative births of my own four children, each one shaping my heart and deepening my passion for supporting others through this sacred journey. In 2020, I followed that calling and founded Mountains of Love Doulas to provide families with evidence-based guidance, emotional encouragement, and hands-on support. Now rooted in Berthoud, Colorado with my husband and our four kids, we soak up every moment we can outdoors—when I’m not holding space for another beautiful birth.

I can't thank Mary enough for all her help during my pregnancy and birth. She recommended stretches to help with debilitating hip discomfort during my third trimester (which totally fixed my issue in a week)! She also helped assist me in the unmedicated waterbirth I had prayed for. She was such a great advocate for me, and her encouragement and knowledge made all the difference. I couldn't have done it without her. Thanks, Mary! God Bless You! -Rachel W.

My new found love for doulas!! This is Mary, she was our doula during Katie's birth and my postpartum doula and we have only great things to say about @mountainsoflovedoulas . During birth Mary stayed with me for a long time not only offering me mental support but having me do different exercise stations to help move the baby down since Katie was very up in my belly even at 41weeks and 2 days and my body was not dilating very well. For hours Mary helped me through contractions, made sure that Brandon knew what to do and helped cover for him when he was tired and needed a break. She helped advocate for me and respected my change of plans at all times, she kept my moral up and really made a difference with spinning baby techniques after my epidural to help baby descend the final inches, I only had to push for 15min and Katie was healthy, happy, crying and pooping hehe in my arms, the best moment of my life. My birth was amazing, I have only good memories from it even though there was, of course, a lot of physical pain involved, I never felt more like a woman, filled with feminine energy and don't let daddy Brandon hear it but looking forward to the next one 😉. I am so glad to be able to say that I loved my labor and a huge part of it was because of Mary! After Katie was born Mary also helped me increase my milk supply, which was there but I could not increase it, after 2 days of working with Mary my production jumped and now I have a little stock in the freezer, such an amazing feeling to see that I can provide for Katie with my own milk. Mary also helped us improve Katie sleep routine which we are currently still working on it, Katie is a fantastic eater but she is working on long stretches of sleep. Mary has been a fundamental part during this process, not only her but all doulas should be covered by insurance so more woman can give positive testimony about their labor and postpartum journey, so grateful. Thank you Mary Margaret Jordan Watson! ♥️

My dear friend Mary Margaret has started her career as a DONA International Doula, and there’s no one more fit for this role! I’ve been a Neonatal ICU nurse for over 7 years and in my opinion, Mary is a natural born caregiver! She is a mother multiple times to term babies, and a micro preemie who she spent over 3 months in a Level IIII NICU with. Mary Margaret is loving, compassionate, and fiercely loyal. I know she’ll be a comfort, a champion, and a lifelong friend to all the mother’s she’ll serve in the future! Please like and share this page, and if you or someone you know is interested in obtaining or learning more about her services then contact her through email or text..

I had the pleasure of working with Mary during my 40 hours induction, c section and 46 hours of postpartum care period. Mary's work ethics are unmatched, she is always on time, always available to answer questions, never says no to an ask and takes feedback like a champ. She is a true care giver and will run herself into the ground trying to take care of you. I could not have survived these two challenging weeks without Mary's help.

“ I decided to hire Mary as my doula at 36 weeks pregnant. I had the BEST experience with Mary of Mountains of Love Doulas. I had never had a Doula before. I have had two previous c sections. I was so alone during those c-sections even with family around. Upon hiring Mary, everything changed and my experience with my third pregnancy and birth was absolutely AMAZING. At the time I hired Mary, I was not feeling heard or seen by my doctor. My questions weren’t being answered. Mary recommended another midwife clinic at a different hospital and I took her advice and she helped me get an appt at 36 weeks. It was the best decision I ever made. Making this change, gave me the answers and confidence that I had been searching for and had not received from my first provider. Mary went to my remaining doctors appts with me, listened to all my concerns, and helped me come up with my birth plan. Mary was by my side since day 1, during the surgery, and after delivery as well. If I ever have another baby, I will definitely hire her or any doula with Mountains of Love Doulas again. I had so many concerns and feelings of uncertainty and fear. Mary put the fire out of all of them! All of her tips and tricks, I tried and did them faithfully. I didn't have the type of birth I had hoped for but I had the answers as to why I couldn’t have a VBA2C. The support and answers from the new provider plus Mary’s support really was all I needed to feel confident and happy about my 3rd c section. Mary was there with me and my partner through the entire c section and she took some beautiful photos that we will always treasure.”

Mary was such a great addition to our birth team. She was so compassionate and supportive not only as a doula but as a mother and friend as well! I did not know Mary Margaret before she became my doula but I know she will be a friend and great support person for the rest of mine and my son's life. less

Ms Mary was truly a blessing to work with. She is a very sweet lady who cares very much about the people she works with. She is truly passionate about work she is does and She takes pride in making sure that everything her clients need is taken care of and even goes above and beyond. In our experience she was very diligent, she was very diligent, she communicates consistently, and she made us feel like part of her own family. Mary gave me a gentle push through labor to make sure I was walking through the right steps to progress even when I didn't feel like I could make it. She was very encouraging and she never gave up on us. She even transferred to the hospital with us for an emergency Caesarean birth! She also took some beautiful pictures throughout labor and hospital with us for an emergency Caesarean birth! She also took some beautiful pictures throughout labor and delivery which are so special because we now have documentation of this special once in a lifetime event. We can not thank her enough for her kindness and devotion to helping make this a beautiful experience!" Miah and Aaron -(mom & Dad)

I am so grateful to have had Mary by my side during the birth of my second child” I am so grateful to have had Mary by my side during the birth of my second child. After a traumatic birth experience with my first, I was working through lots of uncertainty and trauma along with dealing with high blood pressure and anxiety. Mary’s loving support, gentleness and advocacy helped me to overcome so much and ultimately have an informed and redemptive hospital birth experience. Her experience and ease as a mother of 4 boys is inspiring! I now consider her a friend and love her spirit.
Thank you, Mary!! – Julia, M.
