I’m a first time mom and I plan to give birth at a hospital. I’m afraid my voice won’t be heard by nurses or doctors. I don’t really know about a budget, everything is through my work insurance. My birth plan is to be unmedicated and a long list.

I plan to give birth at a Birthing center with a midwife and doula. Our estimated budget is $10,000 We plan to hopefully have a water birth at a birth center and only be transferred to a hospital is deemed medically necessary

I plan on giving birth at the same hospital where I delivered my first born. This is my 2nd pregnancy. I am hoping for as natural as possible of a birthing experience within the hospital. I normally have a very high pain tolerance and stay very calm but during my first labor I found myself in more of a state of shock and feel like I shutdown and locked down. I do have sexual assault history that wasn't really thought about or taken into consideration as being a possible set back during labor. I believe that has a bit to do with why I went into shock and shutdown. I didn't think the same vulnerable helpless feeling would overtake me and just how parallel the situations can feel until I was in the middle of it and was not prepared to feel that way at all. I'm hoping with extra personal support and comfort that I can have a better less scary birth experience my 2nd time around.

I plan to give birth in Parkview Hospital. I am currently attending a Midvies group at Parkview. I have had 1 successful VBAC and would like to VBAC again. This time I would like to not have an epidural and would mainly want a doula to help with pain management and mindset.
