WE plan to give birth at DHR hospital. It is our first child but we would like to have as close to natural birth as possible being at a hospital. We need coaching on our rights as parents and verbage used at hospital. We would also like a doula at birth to help get through labor and advocate for us on subjects that doula is more knowledgable than I on.

I plan to birth at home with a tub, preferably more support and less intervention.

I’m in need of a doula who can help me prepare my body for and give a natural birth. This is my fourth child. I have fibromyalgia and each of my children was born in a hospital with an epidural. I would like to avoid having to do that. There is a slight risk of shoulder distocia but I’ve only had an issue with the first child because the doctor panicked and ended up breaking my son’s arm. The other two were delivered healthy with no issues. I’m good with staying active and eating pretty healthy. My third child was actually delivered in a triage room with no Ob or doctor present. He was delivered by six nurses and a lactation consultant. I have superior Medicaid and I’m having to find a doctor late due to moving around too much.
