You deserve to walk into birth informed and walk out whole. I'm Mitsuzi—labor & delivery nurse and founder of Birthing Noire Doula Collective. I started this work because I watched too many families experience birth without truly understanding what was happening to their bodies or what their options were. Now I lead a team of certified doulas who bring both clinical knowledge and grounded, hands-on support to Houston families navigating fertility, pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Here's what makes us different: collective care. You're matched with one primary doula, I handle your education and birth planning, and if labor extends beyond 12 hours, I step in for relief so you get fresh support when you need it most. No one burns out. You stay held. We serve families who want more than generic advice—you want real education, honest advocacy, and care that doesn't run out. We don't fold... we flow.

For the parent who's ready to feel truly seen, heard, and supported—start to finish. This is comprehensive care from a team that actually works together. You're not just getting one person—you're getting education, advocacy, hands-on support, and the kind of backup that means you're never without care, even when labor is long.
She is just great

I knew I wanted a Doula because I wanted that one on one support, coupled with my GYN. Mitsy was heaven sent, she was attentive to our needs and taught us so much about mental preparation of childbirth. My son gave me a scare at 35 weeks and I thought I’d have to have a C-Section; Mitsy switched up the curriculum with every obstacle we faced. When I went into labor, she was traveling so she couldn’t physically be there, but she was my husband’s coach and she talked him through how to support me and she even talked me off the ledge when I began to panic. She brought me back to my mindfulness training and I delivered my son vaginally with ZERO complications in just 1 hour. It was a great birth experience and unfortunately, not all women can say that. Having Mitsy in my corner was the best decision made. I encourage any expecting mother and couple to go seek her services. Her bedside manner is amazing but she’s stern when she needs to be and she advocates for you in areas where you may not know better! She’s also great at explaining everything. She is a labor and delivery nurse also, so she understands the medical aspect of things as well. Every penny invested in her services is well worth it! My son is now 18 months, I’m doing well, my husband says he’s now a pro (lol) and it’s all because of Mitsy’s wealth of knowledge and ability to execute effective mindfulness training and education surrounding childbirth before, during, and after. I am truly grateful for her!

A Must For First Time Moms! I didn’t know exactly what to expect as we embarked on the program she offers through Birthing Noire. But wow! It’s something that I never knew that I needed until I got into it. Her program opened my eyes to the notion that birth is more than just having a baby. It’s a mind body connection kinda thing. Preparing one’s mind in pregnancy for labor and delivery is more than half the battle. While going through her program, it has helped me be less afraid of birthing my baby. It has reinforced my resolve to be a bad ass mama to be. With a prepared mind comes the belief that ‘I can do this’! During my actual labor and delivery process, Mitsuzi was right by my side, every step of the way! Holding my hand, massaging pressure points to aid in labor progression, helping me in every possible way even when I was about to give up! Mitsuzi would encourage me to keep my head in the labor game! SHE IS AMAZING!!!! You won’t regret your decision to have her in your corner as an expectant mum. 10/10 I highly recommend Birthing Noire’s services for every expecting mother out there, most especially first time moms like me!
