Moni received her master’s degree in Marriage, Couple, and Family Therapy from Lewis & Clark Graduate School of Education and Counseling in Portland, Oregon. She has experience working with new moms and families dealing with life transitions, perinatal emotions, eating and body image issues, and relationship satisfaction. She offers a solution-focused and strength-based approach to counseling, as well as use of cognitive-behavioral therapy tools. Moni knows that the transition into parenthood can present moms and families with both excitement and various challenges. Postpartum mood and anxiety disorders, impact the mother’s self-identity, the couple’s relationship dynamics, and their extended family and community. Therapy and counseling can help guide you to discover and nurture your innate resilience and strength. She is passionate about helping new moms and families find success during the postpartum period. Moni is a certified Prepare-Enrich Facilitator, and is available for pre-marital counseling, marriage enrichment, and help for dating couples considering engagement. She has experience working with grief, loss, life stressors and adjustment issues. Additionally, she is interested in working with clients from diverse backgrounds and can help address issues related to international/interracial marriages. She is able to conduct therapy in English and Mandarin Chinese.
