Hello! I'm a first-time mom who plans on giving birth at Cedar's Sinai, and would like to plan for a vaginal birth. I'm new to this whole process so am not sure exactly what I'll be needing and am mostly just curious if my insurance covers any doula care. I plan to give birth at Providence St. Joseph Hospital in Burbank. My due date is July 12. I am looking for an experienced female doula to support me during labor and especially postpartum. I would appreciate help with newborn care, including feeding, bathing, soothing, sleep support, and guidance during the first weeks after birth. I speak English, Armenian, and Russian, and I would prefer a doula who speaks Armenian or Russian, though English is also fine. Experience with first-time mothers is a big plus. I’d like to give birth at a birthing center but my husband is leaning towards a hospital. I mainly want it to be a natural birth and to labor how I feel most comfortable. I don’t want to be pressured or pushed by the hospital in any way (including delayed cord clamping, keeping vernix on etc).
