Hi, I’m Cathrine. I am postpartum doula, newborn care specialist, and birth doula. I live in Agoura Hills CA. I serve LA and Ventura county. I have been working in women's health for over 25 years, first as a nurse, and now as a certified birth doula and childbirth educator. I am passionate about teaching and love talking about the amazingness of birth. Toward that end, I am always continuing my own education as it relates to creating comfort in pregnancy and birth, breastfeeding, and postpartum mental health. I will encourage you to develop your understanding of this process, as well as your tools for relaxation of your mind and body. I realize that birth is a great unknown, which can be a challenging place for us to inhabit. Cultivating a sense of openness and curiosity for how your birth will unfold is one of your most powerful tools. I truly believe that a satisfying birth experience is one in which you have the support and information you need to make the decisions that are right for you. As a birth worker I have attended 106 births in various settings including home, birth center, and hospitals. Throughout my own life’s journey starting at a very young three years old, I have both fallen deeply in love with all things holistic and gathered various skills that have made me the woman I am today. My intention is to teach women to know and understand their worth and individuality by providing them hope and confidence in themselves. By integrating my knowledge of both western medicine as well as complementary and alternative medicine I am able to initiate self-efficacy for women throughout their lifespan and birth experiences. In my free time, you’ll find me at the beach, hiking, and spending time with my family and friends and always with a cup of tea.

Yose is a Holistic Birth and Postpartum Doula, Certified Lactation Educator, and Birthrights advocate in Orange County, California. Her passion for Birth Work began in 2020 when she got pregnant with her daughter Kailani. During pregnancy she prepared mentally, physically, and spiritually for labor, but did not prepare for the postpartum period. With no family or support around made her 4th trimester a very difficult time for her and her partner. Yose completed her Birth Worker training with Bebo Mia Inc when her daughter was only 3 months old. After the training she realized that she wanted to take a more ancestral approach in birth work, and began learning about Mexican Birth and Postpartum Traditions. For me, the idea of giving birth was always sacred - but it was through the births of my two daughters that I truly understood what it means to give birth.
