Budget unknown at this time as I am just considering a switch to these services. Birth plan; lowest intervention possible, unmedicated is the goal, husband to cut the cord after it stops pulsating.

I am in search of a doula but would prefer someone still in training offering more affordable care. I will be delivering a baby girl at Wayne Hospital in Greenville Ohio in the end of November. This is my first pregnancy and I am hoping to deliver naturally without an epidural. My husband is incredibly supportive and we are very fortunate to have an amazing support team and village. We would like to keep things intimate and it just be the two of us in the hospital. I would love a doula to help navigate the birthing process that my husband may not be as educated to advocate and encourage with helpful birthing methods the way a doula can.

I am experiencing a first time pregnancy, and would like to have a natural home birth with either delayed cord clamping or possibly a lotus birth. My goal is to provide myself and my baby with the most holistic and natural delivery, without the added stress and judgement from hospitals, their policies, and being pressured to go against my beliefs. I was originally planning to give birth at home but that has pivoted to the hospital now. I had an outside doula I hired at the beginning of my pregnancy but due to personal financial strain, I had to cancel her services. Therefore, I don’t have money to pay for a doula currently. I am expecting my first baby and I’ve always wanted a completely natural birth as I am aware that my body is made to birth. I am being told my baby is measuring big due to gestational diabetes and during my appointment today my OB mentioned a c-section as well as the potential of my baby’s shoulders getting stuck and the complications/risks that come with having a “big” baby. I also do not want to be induced. I want to let my body and baby do what it needs to do when it’s ready and not by force. For the sake of our health I will do things that I may not be most comfortable with if it’s absolutely needed. I don’t believe I need to be forced into an induction or a c-section because baby is big. I want to be able to walk around while in labor, sleep, eat small snacks, get into a tub of water, use a birth ball and deliver in the water or on all fours if possible. I simply want to do everything in my power to make my birthing experience a memorable moment and not a traumatic moment.

I'm 10weeks pregnant with my 3rd child and plan to give birth in a hospital. I've had two traumatic birth experiences (one vaginal with epidural, one induction with epidural ending in emergency c-section) and currently have a subchorionic hematoma which took 3 days to get my OB to agree to see me over. I have no idea what my budget is for a doula service - i'm seeking support for advocating for myself during birth and am interested in a non-medicated birth since i've had bad experiences with anesthesia. I’m wanting someone who can attend my birth at community east hospital. I also would love some education beforehand, I really don’t know what my birth plan is yet, besides delivering her safely. I lean more towards wanting a natural birth without epidural, but am worried about how that will be after the point of no return, and I’m no longer able to get it. I have anxiety, but have felt rather calm about this, I just need someone with education that can provide support.
