Hi! I’m Natasha Mizner, RN, BSN, IBCLC and the Founder and Co-Owner of Good Life Lactation! I started my career working at the bedside as a mother/baby RN for 10 years. Helping thousands of breastfeeding dyads in those first few days after birth made me realize the importance of education and support for families in the postpartum period. Since 2021, I have experience in both the hospital setting and private practice as a lactation consultant. I opened Good Life Lactation in 2022 with the goal of providing non-judgmental, evidence based, quality support to families. In 2024, I brought Emily on as a co-owner to be able to reach more families. My husband and I have three daughters ages 11, 7 and 2. Our youngest gave us a challenge as an infant. We worked through silent reflux, oral dysfunction, bottle difficulties, weight gain concerns and had her tethered oral tissues released. It was a difficult first 6 months, but we made it through and she is thriving. As part of my commitment to providing the best possible support, I am passionate about continuing my education and staying up-to-date with the latest research and techniques in lactation consulting. I have advanced training in oral habilitation and tethered oral tissues (tongue/lip ties). When I hear stories about families who have gone through breastfeeding difficulties with little to no support- the potentially avoidable stress, pain and guilt that they experienced breaks my heart. Families deserve better! While I can't promise to solve all issues or guarantee a flawless feeding journey, I can offer my support and expertise to guide you. I consider it an honor to help families navigate feeding their little ones.

Emily is truly the best. Reflecting back on this past year, I can confidentially say that Emily made the single biggest impact on my son’s first year of life even though we only had a handful of sessions together.

We sought lactation support when my son was a week old because I knew something wasn’t right and I couldn’t figure out what I was doing wrong. I didn’t feel like I got a ton of support from lactation at the hospital I gave birth at and the concerns I brought up to doctors at the hospital and pediatrician where minimized because we had a somewhat difficult birthing experience.

I filled out the intake/pre appointment form and at our first meeting with Emily, it was very clear she had spent time reading it and took time to note my concerns. We were able to hit the ground running because of that. She was the first medical professional to really look at my son’s skull- the thing I was most concerned about- and tell me she saw what I was talking about. She validated my concerns with his skull “appearance”. I almost cried with gratitude because isn’t every mom supposed to think their baby is perfect? She was the first medical professional who made me feel like my concerns were valid, my intuition was right and that I wasn’t just a bad mom who thought her baby looked weird.

Because of her validation and advice on what to talk to our pediatrician about, we were able to get a referral to Children’s Mercy which sent us down the whole process of diagnosis and ended up needing two neurosurgeries and helmet therapy to address a fused suture in my son’s skull.

Through the diagnosis process, Emily supported our breastfeeding journey that was complicated by my son’s condition. She helped me figure out pumping and I was able to successfully exclusively pump for over nine months! It obviously was not what I had envisioned for our breastfeeding journey, but because of my son’s condition it was the best, most sustainable option for my family. Emily worked with us to figure that out and I truly am so thankful I was able to provide my son breastmilk as he went through his surgeries.

Without Emily, I know we would not have advocated for our son that early and he would not have been diagnosed until much later, when the options available are a lot more invasive and difficult. His condition can cause developmental delays because of pressure on the skull, which they alleviated when he was 6 weeks old. Because of the early intervention we had available to us, my son is thriving. Genuinely so thankful. For a vulnerable first time mom with concerns, Emily was the best person to support my family!

I had an in home visit when my daughter was 3 weeks old with Audrey and she was absolutely amazing! She made me feel so comfortable and she’s incredibly knowledgeable. She answered all of my questions, set up a plan for us, and sent tons of resources for me to refer back to. It was so individualized and helped set me up for success with breastfeeding! I definitely recommend Good Life Lactation and was so happy with the help we received from Audrey!

Audrey was very knowledgable and personable. I was very grateful for her insight and suggestions on how to improve my daughter's latch and best suggestions for triple feeding until we had a better handle on things.

Audrey came out to assist me and my newborn with his latch and our feeding schedule! She did a weighted feed and gave me lots of positioning ideas! After she left, I felt much more confident in breastfeeding!

Audrey was incredible to work with!
My girlie (third baby) was 5 days old when I reached out to Good Life Lactation with a concern about an oral restriction and pain with breastfeeding. Audrey came to my home the next day. She was calm, comforting and knowledgeable- the kind of feeling you get around your own mother. She filled my toolbox with tools including confidence, oral exercises, newborn stretches, a team approach if needed, postpartum support for myself and a peaceful mind. She checked on us after the visit, too! I am so very grateful for Audrey and how simple this was on my end. I would recommend her to my own sister (but she lives in London!) and best friends!

Working with Emily at Good Life Lactation was such a gift. From the very first interaction, she brought a sense of calm, compassion, and encouragement that made such a difference in my breastfeeding journey. Emily combines deep knowledge with genuine care—she doesn’t just provide information, she listens, meets you where you are, and helps you feel supported every step of the way.

What I appreciated most was how practical and realistic her guidance was. Her availability and kindness were such a gift as I worked to gain confidence with my 3rd baby being the only one to stick with nursing. She gave me tools and practical support, while also reminding me that my well-being matters too. Emily celebrates the little wins, and her encouragement helps you see progress even on the tough days.

It’s incredibly clear that she loves what she does and is committed to empowering moms and families. If you’re looking for someone who will stand alongside you with both expertise and heart, I can’t recommend Good Life Lactation enough. Emily is exactly the kind of support every new parent deserves.

I started seeing them when my baby was just a couple weeks old, and I’m so glad I did! Friendly, knowledgeable, and really helped me feel more confident during those early days. They supported me with both bottle and breastfeeding and helped me work on increasing my supply. Good life la ration was so helpful to me and my first new born baby. They came to see me right before I had her and a day after getting home from the hospital. With their help I have been able to successfully breast feed my baby. They gave me tips to avoid mastitis and work through any pain with breast feeding. The home visits were super helpful. They came at my convince, tracked my baby’s weight, worked on stretches, and gave me appropriate referrals. I appreciate all of the help. Truly, I would have given up on breast feeding if it wasn’t for their help. I am also so grateful my insurance company covered the visits.

Good Life Lactation will forever hold a special place in my heart as one of the providers who helped transform my motherhood experience. Natasha provided wonderful, easily digestible information during my prenatal visit and Emily, who I saw for most of my in-home visits, was incredible. The duo really worked together as a seamless team.

Emily helped identify that my son had thrush at six weeks, supported us through his oral tether releases, provided feeding suggestions that seemed easy to implement for an overwhelmed, first-time mom, and just held space for me at each visit. I am so grateful for Emily’s kindness, compassion and commitment to me, my son and our family.
- Alex Pribaz

TLDR; I would recommend Good Life Lactation and Emily Anderson to anyone who is looking for a kind and positive supporter that is genuinely invested in your breastfeeding journey!

I first met with Emily in a prenatal appointment and she took the time to walk me through what to expect in the first week of breastfeeding and gave me so many resources to reference. This gave me so much confidence as a first time mom, especially in the chaotic moments right after birth when that first breastfeeding attempt happens. With her guidance, I was able to navigate challenges in the weeks following including perfecting my baby’s latch and learning how to tell that she was getting milk, successfully weaning away from a nipple shield, and managing engorgement and supply regulation. She was great at helping my husband learn to support me as well, highlighting the value of both parents in breastfeeding success. Outside of these things, she was genuinely such a positive presence in the first few weeks and I can’t emphasize enough how much her reassurance and guidance helped me through the daunting task of learning to feed my baby and reaching my breastfeeding goals. I would recommend Good Life Lactation and Emily Anderson to anyone who is looking for a kind and positive supporter that is genuinely invested in your breastfeeding journey!

Emily was incredibly helpful in addressing my son’s breastfeeding issues (stemming from a tongue tie) and I cannot say enough great things about her! Over the course of a couple of months, she helped me transition from exclusively pumping to nursing my son and resolve issues with oversupply and recurrent clogged ducts/mastitis. Emily was so supportive and always had ideas for possible solutions/new things to try. She also connected me with various resources in the community to help. I loved being able to text her questions between the in-person visits. I highly recommend Emily if you need any help, assistance or support with nursing or feeding your baby!!

Natasha was amazing! I had such a hard time breastfeeding in the hospital so I decided to exclusively pump. I still wanted to breastfeed but with my babies tongue tie that made our journey a little harder… at 8 weeks old with no prior breastfeeding Natasha helped us to exclusively breastfeed!
