Hi there, I’m currently exploring birth and postpartum support and am looking to connect with a doula who deeply aligns with a holistic, low-intervention approach to childbirth. I’m particularly interested in working with someone who is experienced in hypnobirthing techniques and can help me feel empowered and supported throughout labor and beyond. Ideally, I’m hoping to give birth in a hospital-based setting that still honors the more peaceful, centered experience of a birthing center. I know birthing centers within hospitals are limited here in Boston, but my goal is to create as natural a birth experience as possible, even within a traditional hospital environment. Avoiding a C-section and unnecessary induction are high priorities for me. I’m seeking a doula who is confident advocating within the hospital system, honors my desire for an unmedicated birth, and can help guide my partner and me through this experience with intention and calm. Postpartum care is equally important to me. I’d love to find someone who also offers (or can recommend) nighttime support during those early weeks, and who brings a nurturing, grounded energy to the recovery and adjustment period. We are looking for a kind, positive, and proactive labor/birth doula to work with us for the birth of our son in March. We do not have a lot of family in MA and are looking for a strong supportive presence to join our little team and facilitate a positive birth experience for our first child. We hope to find someone experienced who is also versed in positioning the baby properly for the birth as well. We currently plan to give birth at Cambridge Hospital, although we are lightly contemplating switching to the Brigham. We want to be honest that the budget and fees are important to us, but that being said, we are reasonable people. We are currently deciding between having and not having an epidural and would love to hear more about how a doula can support us with either option.

I have mass health and hoping I can find a doula that takes mass health. I hope to have a vaginal birth, unmedicated, I would like to be able to refuse unnecessary vaccines and medicines needed for baby. I want to fully breastfeed my baby, if baby needs to go anywhere dad or someone I agree on will go with baby. I would like my rights and baby’s right very protected, I want baby near me at all times and asked questions or have in writing before anything needs to be done; I really want to protect my family and my birth.
